Our half day trip from Lisbon to Sintra and Cascais was absolutely flawless, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible guide, Francisco. From the very moment he picked us up right on time, we knew we were in for fun times. Francisco is a kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly funny gentleman who anticipated and took care of our every need. His van was super comfortable, making the travel between stops a total breeze. He gave my mom and me the perfect amount of time to explore the stunning Sintra Palace and wander through the beautiful town. A major highlight was his recommendation to visit the famous Piriquita pastry shop—the pastries there are amazing and not to be missed! The drive back was pure magic. Francisco took us via Cabo Raso right by the ocean, and we drove along the breathtaking coastline all the way back to Lisbon, catching glimpses of the stunning town of Cascais along the way. If you are looking for a guide who is professional, deeply knowledgeable, and wonderful company, look no further than Francisco. Francisco has in depth knowledge of Portuguese history and culture. He had excellent recommendations for dealing with the inclement weather so we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. These included where to visit and special cafe for coffee and pastries. He made photo stops as requested even in difficult places.

Highly recommend Francisco as your guide and driver when exploring surrounds of Lisbon! We were arriving in Lisbon from a cruise ship. Francisco met us at the cruise terminal (punctual) in his very comfortable, panoramic vehicle. We spent 5 hours exploring Sintra and taking in the sights of the surrounding area. We had very wet weather and Francisco tailored the day for us to suit the rainy day. Super polite and respectful. Francisco ensures you have a great experience. Our tour with Francisco was great! Unfortunately the monuments in Sintra were closed during our visit but Francisco came up with an alternate plan that we really enjoyed. He brought us to the town of Sintra to explore the National Palace and local shops, then drove us along the coast of Portugal to see the beautiful landscape. My kids loved seeing all the different beaches. We ended our tour in Cascais, where Francisco had made us a restaurant reservation for a delicious seafood lunch. We had a great day! Francisco went above and beyond to make our trip to Sintra magical. He picked us up promptly at our hotel and tailored our trip to our interests. We explored the Pena National Palace (a must-see) and went to Sintra, for shopping, pasteries and site-seeing. He also drove us through the beautiful country-side. Our vehicle was very comfortable and the panaramic sunroof was a big plus for seeing the castles and palaces nestled in the hills. Francisco was a very gracious, hospitable and flexible host. He also was a wonderful photograpgher and took many great pictures for us that we will cherish. Both my husband and I highly recommend him.

Very nice and competent guide! We did not see the “well” that is pictured in the advertisement of the tour, however. That was a disappointment.
