Our guide/driver Nuno was fantastic!! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed being able to tailor the day to our preference along with getting recommendations from our guide. Sintra is beautiful and I would love to come back and explore more of the park. Definitely recommend!
Very knowledgeable tour guide, went beyond scheduled time to accommodate us driving past Guincho Beach which we asked to see on way back to hotel. If you have a scheduled tour planned this day like we did for Quinta da Regaleira you need to account for travel time and traffic so you’re not rushed
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ More Than a Tour of Sintra — A Day Experiencing Portugal We had an absolutely fantastic private tour of Sintra with João Cunha, and he turned what could have simply been a day of sightseeing into one of the most memorable days of our time in Portugal. From his friendly message that morning letting us know he was on his way, João was professional, personable and incredibly knowledgeable. We explored Sintra’s historic center, Monserrate Palace and its beautiful gardens, Cabo da Roca — the westernmost point of continental Europe — and, of course, made the essential stop at Casa Piriquita to sample Sintra’s famous pastries. What really distinguished João, though, was everything that happened between the destinations. As we drove, he shared the history of Portugal in a way that was interesting, conversational and easy to follow. He didn’t just tell us where we were going; he helped us understand the country we were visiting. One of our favorite touches was his introduction to Fado. João shared some of his favorite Portuguese artists, including Sara Correia, Mafalda Arnauth, Mariza and Ana Moura. We now have a whole new Portuguese playlist — and a soundtrack that will always remind us of this trip. 🇵🇹 The private Mercedes was comfortable, the day never felt rushed, and João struck exactly the right balance between guiding us and giving us time to explore on our own. If you’re visiting Lisbon and want to experience Sintra with someone who genuinely enjoys sharing the history, culture, food and music of Portugal, ask for João. We couldn’t recommend him more highly. Five stars and a fantastic day from beginning to end.

Absolutely the best tour guide we have had on a 14 day Mediterranean Cruise. Joao Salvador Cunha went above and beyond for an incredible journey through Sintra and the coast. Private tour just my wife and I and a very reasonable price. Unlike other tours where you receive 20 minutes free time to walk around, Joao gave us two hours to tour the Biester Estate and grounds and the town of Sintra. The estate tour is fairly new and the tourists don’t flock there. Self guided tour and you feel like you’re the only ones there. It was the 5 hour half day tour where we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in Lisbon. Ask for Joao to be your driver/guide; the best choice you will ever make for a tour!!

Nuno was an incredible tour guide! He knew all the best places to stop, and gave us great recommendations throughout the day. We visited the Palace of Pena and the Palace of Monserrate, and we had plenty of time to explore the town for lunch and shopping. Nuno made several stops on the way back to Lisbon as well so we could see Cascais and some other cool spots. Overall we loved this tour, highly recommend!!
