If the river is low I recommend you reschedule. Trip was cut short. Staff and captain was great, trip disappointing.

Cute little tour and great way to see the city! My daughter loved the spinning boats! Great way to get a quick activity in while still being able to see the city in a unique way.

A great little short cruise which gives you plenty of information about the local area. The area along the river is just so unique and beautiful!

Take your longest lens on camera and sit at the row at front if possible to get best view and photos

I booked online; you have to exchange the online booking for a ticket at the counter on the pier. You travel along Salzburg until you are out of the city. The boat turns around past Aigen and heads back. During the entire trip, there is information provided via recording and live in German and English. Very entertaining.

We booked this and weren’t offered upgraded tickets when we booked so didn’t know this existed. To sit outside you had to have an upgrade ticket and inside was far too hot. There was also a large hen party on board who were all shouting and talking over the driver so no one else could hear the tour information she was providing over the microphone. Other people were also visibly mad and telling the party to be quiete but the staff done nothing. We just felt the staff should have considered other customers. A real shame as we were so looking forward to this and the captain done her best.

Luckily the tour was included in the Salzburg card. Calling it a tour is out of place considering that due to the scarcity of water we limited ourselves to going back and forth for 200mt and making the boat spin on itself 360 degrees. I do not recommend it if it is summer and if the river level is low.

It is not worth the money. Some historical explanations but from the vantage point of the river, the most you see are the dirty backsides of the buildings. Explore from above instead. Better yet, go to Hohensalzburg fortress where you are rewarded with sweeping views of the city!

We loved speeding upriver with our fun captain and fellow travelers. The views are wonderful and give you a great overview of the city.
