The restaurant sits on a top level of the fortress so the view while dining is stunning’ We had an excellent waiter who was attentive and friendly. The food exceeded my expectations; we chose the VIP experience so the menu had more choices. Dinner included a cocktail and a bottle of wine with dinner and a glass of prosecco during the concert. The Mozart concert was as expected: very talented musicians playing beautiful music.
Fortress views are spectacular. Food was average - we did the basic meal and the dumpling in the soup was grainy and the turkey was a little dry. Not horrible, but not great. However views are still worth it. Table next to us did VIP dinner and had similar feelings where the food was just average. The talent of the musicians who played Mozart were spectacular.
The scenery and views - especially at sunset - were spectacular as was the concert. The dinner service was slow (even for Europe standards), the food was ok (we had the basic package), and we had to pay for a beverage, which I would have expected to have been included in the price. We couldn’t even get tap water. It was a unique experience and overall enjoyable, but definitely a tourist thing to do and pricey for the meal.
The dress code is relaxed but clean ( no jeans) and a buttoned down shirt for the guys . The food is delicious and you are given about 1 hour and 30 minutes to eat it in . It’s very relaxed . You will do a lot of walking up stairs . The room is fantastic. You’re in a medieval fortress at the very top and the view is spectacular. You will be indoors as well when you are seated . The quartet is fabulous and plays for almost 2 hours , with a 15 minute break when you can grab a glass of wine or champagne. It is to be experienced. Enjoy it .
A magical experience of food and music. And the views were spectacular from the castle.
The meal was excellent! We treated ourselves to the VIP dinner which included alcohol. The concert was so professional and the musicians conveyed their enthusiasm through their music. I would highly recommend this event.
This was a fantastic experience and well worth the price. From the free funicular ride up to the fortress, to the sunset views of the city looking back over the skyline, and of course the incredible concert in the chamber at the top of the tower. All of it was a truly enjoyable evening.
The concept behind it was good. But we were seated at a table where one person was facing a wall and had no view whatsoever. We asked to be moved to another table but the waiter refused. And there were extra tables! Other guests appeared to have a different menu. I don’t recall being offered a choice There were a lot of stairs involved in getting to the concert hall. This should have been states clearly
Phenomenal!! Venue was great and concert was awesome. We were hesitant to do this because of how long it was but it went by so quick and of course dinner was included so worth the time and money.
Loved it. Dinner and concert in the Fortress was outstanding. Food was good and concert was great! Get the VIP package, it is worth it.
