The driver screamed at my wife. Put his phone in Her face and was very rude to her. He was texting and driving a lot on the dangerous curves. He was speeding and when some young boys pulled out in front of him he sped up and tailgated them . I was so scared. Also the fact that he didn’t pick us up at our hotel as we had been promised when we made the arrangements made us have to walk 20 minutes with our luggage to get there. When we were walking out of our hotel there was another tour microbús picking up its clients and there was no traffic. He could have easily picked us up. The festival that he used as the reason for traffic that he could not pick us up was the day before. He also did not want to drop us off at our agreed upon stop. That is when he started arguing with us. The dispatcher did contact him and they did eventually drop us off at the correct location. Just be aware .

If it wasn’t for the kind driver I would give my experience a zero star. The company that runs this shuttle - Due South Travels - will not pick you up at your hotel or near your hotel as stated before booking online. They will take a non-refundable payment and then they will let you know that you have to travel to a meeting spot which in my case was 15 minutes walking with heavy luggage. I told them how I felt about misleading information online and they told me to take an Uber and ask the City of Antigua for a refund. Absolutely ridiculously. Also, the shuttle left 20 minutes late. When I got to the meeting spot I found a sign which stated that the shuttle which leaves from that spot costs 1/3 less than what they charged me online.
HI Vladia, We were expecting this review. As stated during our many Whatsapp exchanges, there have been a number of road closures in the central area of Antigua, and on the day of your trip, we were celebrating our Patron Saint Festival. This is a historic and religious event that we have no control over. Because of the influx of visitors to the city this day, and the heavy traffic and changed traffic patterns, we ask our shared shuttle clients to go to a common meeting point that is set by the shuttle provider. We notified you of this the day before, and you agreed. It wasn’t until 30 minutes before your departure that day that you decided it was easier to argue with us than to get to the meeting point. The shuttle left later than usual while waiting for other passengers to arrive there who were delayed because of the traffic. While we appreciate that you booked with the expectation to be picked up at your hotel, we did notify you in advance, and we also have a section on our website that explains that due to certain celebrations, festivals, road closures, etc, we may have to assign pickup points. There are THREE shared tourist shuttle companies in town that run that route, and ALL THREE of them required their passengers to go to a meeting point that day. We are a third party and do not run the shuttle. Our online prices are competitive to what you pay in cash in person at any of the agencies, so no idea how you think you’d get to Panajachel for 1/3 of the price, but that is not possible. Comfortable shared ride to Panajachel from Antigua..no ac but it was a cool afternoon..driving felt safe

The shuttle is pretty small and all packed. The seats have no support for neck. It is pretty hard for a long bumpy road. My son vomitted.

I’m tall and the legroom on the shuttle was not optimal. But, we had an efficient and polite driver.
