Wonderful afternoon/evening drive to the monument. The guide was very informative driving to Poseidon Temple with a few stops along the way. Weather didn’t encourage the swim offered at a local beach. Stunning views and well worth enduring 40 mph gusts on top. Highly recommend this tour.
It’s a very long drive. We stopped in a town but nothing was open except a few restaurants with no one in them.
I booked a sunset tour of Cape Sounion and Temple of Poseidon - I just loved it, particularly the Temple of Poseidon at twilight (I also loved swimming at the beach - the only who did - very brisk!). But what made the trip especially wonderful was the tour guide (Sevi) and the driver (Alexander). They were both so accommodating and patient (I made a mistake with the the pickup location) and Alexander even dropped me off at my hotel (not the original pickup point). Sevi was extremely knowledgable (trained as an archaeologist) and a good storyteller. Entirely worth it.
Tour guide, Faye, was so knowledgeable and friendly. I loved having a few stops along the way for photos. The sunset was unreal and the Temple of Poseidon was phenomenal. I’m glad I booked the afternoon tour to get the sunset photos. Would highly recommend.
Great experience. The beach stop was an extra perk. Lots of time for everyone and everything to do. You have an hour to beach and eat which was great.
Maria was the best tour guide! She knew so much and sprinkled fun facts all along the gorgeous drive along the coast. The drive was wonderfully timed, so it flew by. The temple of Poseidon at sunset was unforgettable! Highly recommend.

Our tour driving south along the coast to the Temple of Poseidon was absolutely beautiful. We were treated to breathtaking scenery along the way and an informative, engaging tour that brought the history of the region to life. Roy shared her extensive knowledge of Poseidon, Greek mythology, and the historical events surrounding this incredible site. She added just the right amount of humor and personal insight, making the experience both educational and entertaining. We rate Roy as an exceptional guide—personable, knowledgeable, and simply fun to spend the day with. She made our experience memorable from beginning to end. High marks for Roy! We highly recommend her and this tour.
The tour guide was very nice and informative. It was nice to see some spectacular sights outside of Athens. I found the van very uncomfortable. There were 4 of us in the back seats of the bus. That’s my only complaint.
Best part was the temple of Poseidon- it was amazing! So worth the trip and especially at sunset when the sun changes the colour of the marble pillars. We did not want to drive ourselves over the twisty road to the temple so opted for a tour- so glad we did. Small group about 16 was great. Nice tour guide Yonda. Careful driver. It was a wonderful evening!
