Our guide, Serena Paolini, made our tour of the Colosseum and Ancient Rome absolutely wonderful. This is saying something when we had just flown overnight from Philadelphia and were working on about twenty hours being awake. (It was also about 100 degrees.) Luckily Serena had us entranced from the very first second - examining ancient carvings, learning about the archaeological digs past and current, and of course, telling us the stories that make touring Rome’s most famous ancient sites absolutely indispensable. Blue Cat Tours: give Serena a raise!!!
Serena was amazing. She was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. If you want to know everything about the Colosseum, she is perfect person . She was very attentive and kind to all of us .
I would highly recommend this trip. It was a last minute booking and we had to accommodate some changes for a family member, but it was no trouble. The afternoon of our trip it was during a biblical amount of rain, but despite the weather, Serena made it engaging and very informative and was accommodating of my sons aged 11 and 8. She had so much knowledge and it really brought it alive, especially with the overlay of pictures that others have mentioned. I really recommend this tour.
Our tour was absolutely outstanding. Our guide was incredible, extremely knowledgeable, passionate about Roman history, and engaging from start to finish. Every explanation was clear and fascinating, and all of our questions were answered patiently with enthusiasm and depth. The guide’s love for the subject truly brought Ancient Rome to life and made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a meaningful and memorable visit to Rome’s most iconic sites.

Serena was wonderful. Very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. There was no question she couldn’t answer. She adapted the tour to suit our pre-existing knowledge and personalities perfectly. Three hours simply flew by.

Smoother experience with a guide. Colosseum was quite crowded and hot, unfortunately. Still, it is a must-do in Rome.
