My wife and I went on an excellent food tour with Meta. We went to several local restaurants and walked through the market. All of the food and drinks were grown locally and highlighted several different regions of Slovenia. It was all of very highly quality and more than ample portions. Along the way Meta provided information about the food and history of Slovenia. We highly recommend this company!

Excellent food walking tour with Alenka. It seems that all the tour guides and restaurant owners we passed know her. Her English is excellent and she speaks loudly enough for hearing, even in the busy streets of Ljubljana. She was open to answering all questions about the history of the different foods we were presented as well as questions about the history of the country. I was expecting to be given some type of nasty local food because of previous experiences (like pickled shark in Iceland that tasted like formaldehyde). None of that on this food tour. Everything I tasted was outstanding. I highly recommend booking this tour well in advance of your trip, it will probably sell out.

Alenka did a great job sharing her knowledge of Slovenian food and wine regions. We enjoyed all of the places we stopped at and would recommend this tour.

Meta was our tour guide and took us to several restaurants in the area. All of the selections were delicious. She had gluten free options for every stop which was appreciated. She gave us a great education about the local wines and we tasted quite a variety. Highly recommend

We did this tour our first day in Ljublijana, and it was a fantastic introduction to the Old Town neighborhood and the food and drink we would enjoy the rest of our trip. We were very well fed in terms of both abundance and variety. The regional foods and wines were well explained. Our guide, Karmen, was knowledgable, engaging, and fun. Our group felt like a roving, lively dinner party rather than a tour. We loved it!

Great experience. Alenka gave us great lesson on the history of the food and the country. The walking was fairly easy but be prepared for cobblestones by wearing appropriate shoes. I would highly recommend this excursion.

Alenka is an amazing tour guide. She speaks English very well. The food locations and history behind each dish were incredible. Truly a small group, only three couples. The walking pace was easy, some cobblestones so wear good shoes. We had an awesome time and would highly recommend.

Fantastic food tour with Meta. All of the stops were well chosen with excellent quality food. It was great to go to places you wouldn’t necessarily know to visit and a real treat to explore the different food and wine regions of Slovenia. I’m pescatarian and that was catered for without issue which I appreciated. We also enjoyed Meta giving us some of the history of Slovenia as that put our trip into more context. She was happy to answer questions and really knowledgeable. She shared some extra recommendations at the end of the tour and we have checked a couple of them out, both excellent! Would definitely recommend!

What a great way to see the city and eat where the locals eat. All the food and drinks were delicious and our guide had a lot of information about the city and Slovenia. Make sure you go hungry.
