This tour was fantastic. We travelled in a SUV with another couple. The tour was better than expected. Summer from coastline tours was our driver and she shared lots of information about the road and surroundings. We stopped and saw lovely waterfalls and a black beach and plenty of green sea turtles on the beach. Thank you Summer

Found we was travelling in vehicle too long and not much time at each spot but didn’t need long as nothing exciting apart from black sand beach, rocks with water making big waves. Was not worth the money in my opinion glad only did the half day one which was too long as spent most of it travelling and in out out of vehicle very disappointed
Thanks for trying out the Road to Hana. this tour clearly states Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level. Although we were rated as if this tour allows otherwise? Sorry that the walkthrough the rainforest with the eucalyptus trees rainbow and the waterfalls to swim and the giant sea turtles were not impressive. Maybe next time Mahalos
Didn’t see most of it spent 5hour out of 6 in car didn’t swim in water falls to many steps for disabled people was not explained pretty disappointing
Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level , this is clearly stated on purchase although this review unfairly rates us as if we allow this? sorry the waterfalls, the walk through the rainforest, the giant sea turtles were not to your liking but that’s the reason we all love this tour. This was a great tour. Summer was an awesome tour guide. The only negative was the vehicle. Seven guests plus the driver were crammed into a Lincoln Navigator. It was very cramped.
Thanks for the great review. It’s been a lot of discussion of what vehicle is best on this Road. The Lincoln Navigator is the top choice. We understand your feelings. I’m very happy that most of the seats are basically the size of first class on most planes, but there is the middle seat. I’m sorry, we will always prefer six plus the driver in future. Such a fun day Breathtaking views, very comfortable SUV, very safe driving. A beautiful way to see the lush vegetation and seascapes on the island. I highly recommend this tour.

It was quite interesting driving on this road. I would not want to drive it myself. Taking only about 9 people was perfect. The driver was knowledgeable. It would e better if he had a microphone as it was hard to hear in the last row of seats. The stop for the best banana bread was nothing to write home about. It was good but not the best, the dream bar was tasty, but the bread wasn't worth the $9.00. If you get motion dick ess, do not take this tour.
Hello, and thank you for trying the Half to Hana . We will address microphone. Some ears have a hard time with a mic, or headset. We will have a solution. The banana bread at the halfway to Hana store is world renowned, but there are some amazing bakers out there in the world and I would think it’s not very hard to make bread perfect for them. The variety here is a little bit different with the apple bananas and the way it taste a little bit smoky it’s unique here.. but I’m sure there’s always a taste test that will tell the tale. Motion sickness is reduced because we try to go under 25 miles an hour and we’re usually going something like 18 but will try to make it better for everybody. honestly, we were skeptical at first. no specific reason why, we just didn't know what to expect for the guide and the tour itself. however, at the end of the tour we couldn't get words out to explain how impressed and happy we were with our tour! i believe we had the lucky opportunity to have the owner as our tour guide and he did not disappoint. thomas was extremely knowledge and acted almost as someone part of our family group. he got out at every stop with us, was our own personal photographer, and made sure we saw what WE wanted to see. thomas knew i specifically wanted to see turtles so he took us to not one but two locations where we saw 10+ green turtles! thomas took us to get some famous banana bread, stopped at multiple water falls, and beach spots. we could not have asked for a better tour guide truly. if you're on the edge with booking this tour, don't be. BOOK IT! i also recommend trying to ask for thomas as the tour guide (;

The half-way tour was just enough for our family. The stops included green sea turtles, an opportunity for local treats, waterfalls to swim and historical stops to round out the horticultural treasures. Our guides were accommodating and adapted to meet the needs of our large group to make everyone as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend this tour.
