John was knowledgeable, professional, and made the tour a great experience. The tour was reasonably priced, the lunch was excellent, and I loved the eco-friendly focus. We had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the beautiful scenery without feeling rushed. I finished the day with dinner at El Nacional, and the food was A+! Don't miss this experience! We chose to do the early morning (6am) trip. Our guide, Alfonso, was fantastic. We got picked up in front of our hotel and then immediately headed out to Lake Gatun. Ice water is available on board the bus. Along the way, he gave us the history of Panama and the Canal. The history lesson continued once we boarded the boat. We were able to pass alongside some large container ships that were transiting the canal. Once we got over to the "islands", we drove around looking for wildlife. In addition to the white faced capuchin monkeys, you might see howlers and tamarins. We saw a toucan flying, parrots, cranes, as well as many other birds. Alfonso was very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions. After the tour, we went back to Casco Viejo and had brunch. They put up private tables for us outside the Santa Maria Cathedral. The brunch was simple, but traditional Panamanian food and it was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience and we couldn't recommend it enough. Thanks Alfonso for a great trip!
An amazing experience but an even better tour guide. This is a great boat trip and incredible sightseeing. Then our tour guide spend the time before our next tour walking us around town.

The private tour is worth it! The tour operator and guide are incredibly nice and accommodating with all of our travel/logistical changes. Food was the best we had during our entire time in Panama. Enrique was a great guide and spent time to share the history and stories of the Panama Canal. Also, seeing all of the various animals was incredible.
