Very very good. Would try again.
While we did sea sick the guides were attentive and tried to encourage us all to try to swim. The guides were awesome in getting to the whale sharks and seeing all we could. My advice is to take Dramamine at least one to two days prior as well as day of. Thanks to our guides they were the best!!

Spectacular
Incredible experience, it is worth it, good guide and captain. We saw dolphins, manta rays, flying fish and were able to swim with the whale shark 2 times. He was patient and it appeared.

Amazing opportunity to see beautiful animals
Had an absolute blast on the whale shark tour! It was so incredible being able to see such beautiful animals. The experience can feel a bit intense but our guides (Dori, Juan Luis Sergio, and Pulpo) took care of us well and helped create a great experience. Highly recommend!

Unforgettable Ocean Tours Whale Shark Expedition
I recently joined the Whale Shark Discovery Expedition with Ocean Tours, and it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. The day began with a very early 0515 start, but from the moment we were picked up, everything ran smoothly and the excitement carried us through. After a couple of stops on the way to Cancun, we arrived for breakfast and prepared for the adventure ahead.
Ruben, our guide, was exceptional. He was down to earth, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable, and his English was perfect. I had recently undergone surgery and had injured myself again just before the trip, and Ruben immediately became this calm, reassuring presence. He was caring, supportive and attentive throughout the entire day. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He even offered travel sickness pills, which felt like such a thoughtful gesture and showed how much they want guests to enjoy the experience fully.
The boat crew were just as impressive. They were friendly, professional and always ready to help. Luis was a perfect gentleman and assisted me in and out of the boat with such kindness and patience. Their teamwork and warmth made the whole experience feel safe and welcoming.
Despite the season ending in just three days, we were lucky enough to see whale sharks and manta rays. We even watched a giant turtle come up for air, which was a beautiful moment. Each pair was given two dives, and I’ll never forget the surreal feeling of watching the whale shark approach as we prepared to enter the water. Seeing his enormous head glide towards us and then swimming alongside him was breathtaking. It’s something I’ll never forget.
Lunch in the sea was a completely new concept for me, and so was ceviche. I had never tried it before, but it was absolutely delicious. The flying fish skimming across the water on the way out added an extra touch of magic to the day.
I purchased a long sleeve rash vest as a keepsake and also bought the photo and video package, which I’m really looking forward to receiving. I even picked up a plush whale shark and named him Ruben after our wonderful guide.
This expedition was worth every penny. Ocean Tours delivered an outstanding experience from start to finish, and Ruben and the entire crew made it truly special. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing
We had an amazing time swimming with whale sharks, followed by snorkelling the reef and refreshments at Isla Mujeres. Ruben was a fantastic guide, worked really hard to make sure that we felt safe, confident in the water around the wildlife and had a lot of fun!
Definitely incredible value for money for a once in a lifetime experience with a lovely small group of people.
