It’s a long boat ride to the whale sharks and when you get to the area there are several boats in the area all searching. It could be a matter of minutes finding them or in our case 1 plus hours. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Everyone got to go in the water at least 3 times. Afterwards we stopped and got to go swimming and had Ceviche. Awesome experience!
Eco colored Mexico was our tour company and they did an amazing . Alejandro and the captain did an amazing job getting us to where the whale sharks were and then positioning us in the perfect spot to go in and swim with them. If you wanna see a whale shark as I have my entire life, this was definitely the place to go.
I am age 64 fairly healthy and my friend 72. My friend heard about the whale shark experience through a family member. During our experience in the ocean, I observed several group members out of breath after the first initial swim with the whale shark. The water appeared a little choppy with humid and hot weather, which increased my fear. Victor the tour guide, about age 26 held my hand when I jumped in the water to swim with the whale shark, it was an incredible experience. Thank you victor for helping me conquer my fear and enjoying this tour with my friend.

The whole experience was amazing! Our tour guide Arturo went out of his way to make sure that we got to see the whale sharks as it is coming to the end of the season! The crew were so friendly and made the experience very special!
From start to finish this was an amazing tour. Genuinely once in a lifetime and so surreal. They were outside the hotel at the exact time they said. Provided a light breakfast as we waited at the dock. The driver Carlos, guide Arturo, crew and captain were amazing and made us feel so safe. They actually stayed longer than we were due to stay to make sure everyone on the boat swam with whale sharks which was greatly appreciated. We were provided with lots of soft drinks and water throughout the boat journey and also sandwiches and delicious freshly caught/made ceviche (this was amazing). Everything was so well thought out and greatly appreciated.

Don't go solo because they seem to cater to couples and groups when taking videos (my camera didn't work for some reason). I know for a fact that videos were shared primarily with the Spanish speaking guests and not with myself. They operators on the boat were polite but focused more on the other groups and couples and I felt like I was an afterthought

It was amazing! Highly recommend!! Monserrat was very kind and gave us clear instructions so when it was time to swim we knew exactly what to do. We saw whales and manta rays!
Amazing experience! Captain and crew were great. Monserrat was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. Ceviche and guacamole served after the whale shark encounters was delicious! Highly recommend!
