Our host was amazing and knew so much! A great format... Mushroom/Mycelium 101 followed by a show and tell of several findable varieties. Then a great walk through the forest identifying several species. Fabulous! 2 days later I was mowing my backyard and was actually able to notice and confidently identify "puffball mushrooms" growing in the shadows. I would have run right over them otherwise. New appreciation for a woods walk and a vow to not just look ahead and up but down as well.

I had an amazing time learning from our tour guide Adrian. He was extremely knowledgeable. I was blown away with his memory of so many mushrooms and we probably saw about 20 to 30 different types of fungi within a 15 minute trail. I was absolutely astonished with the variety of mushrooms in the small area that we walked in and could not believe how much Adrian knew and how kind and gracious he was to everyone’s questions and findings. Big thumbs up to Swallow Tail tours. I can’t wait to get out into the forest and find more treasures like I did today.

The guide is super knowledgeable and interesting to hear him talk to the group. I enjoyed being in the forrest and never noticed there are so many mushrooms. I have to admit I was a bit dissapointed in not receiving any material or guide to help me identify mushrooms as was promised in the ticket. For a family outing I found it disappointing and expensive. Recommended for someone with at least a baseline understanding in mushrooms and how to identify them.

Robin is a fantastic guide and she happily shows off her love of edible, and non-edible, mushrooms that are available in our local forests. She also prepared a lunch using some local wild mushrooms in a paté as well as some prepared pickles and salad. This is a must for anyone who wants to find out more about nature's bounty.

The wild mushroom foraging walk was very informative - I learned more about how mushrooms grow and thrive as well a some of the edible plants and berries in the forest. Highly enjoyable!
