I booked very last minute to see Temple of Heaven before departing Beijing. I’m so happy that I did, Padma was such a warm and informative guide. Given her background as a school teacher, she had a very entertaining and engaging way to explain the history of the temple, its importance and what day to day life looked like back in those times. Really enjoyed this tour. Lucia was on time with the pickup in a very comfortable and luxurious vehicle. She was very helpful throughout the whole trip. She speaks very good English so is well suited for foreign visitors. She was very knowledgeable about the attraction and also managed the time very well so that we got to see the main parts of the location.

We chose the "meet at meeting point 9am" option, and getting there by taxi was smooth and hassle-free. While there were some crowds, it was still manageable. If you're keen on taking photos at the popular spots within the Temple of Heaven, consider starting a bit earlier. One of the best things about a private tour is the flexibility to tailor it to your preferences. Communication with Albert before the tour was excellent—he reached out in advance to make sure everything was in place and that we were well-prepared. We had a fantastic time with Albert. He was kind, patient, and thoughtful, especially since I was traveling with my elderly parents. He skillfully guided us through the vast grounds, always keeping our interests in mind. A memorable highlight was a spontaneous game of shuttlecock with some locals in the park facilitated by Albert. At the end of the tour, Albert even assisted us with getting to our next destination, which was incredibly helpful. Honestly, we feel so lucky to have had Albert as our guide. We can’t thank him enough for making our visit so special.

For those short of time in Beijing, this is a no-hassle way to visit the temple of heaven with an informative guide. Jimmy was a pleasure to spend time with - friendly, happy to answer all questions, give advice and helping us to navigate not only the temple, but the metro system also.

Fellow travellers, Wife and I just returned from this tour and found it enjoyable and informative. Enjoyed the company of our guide Becky who accompanied and took care of us while engaging with entertaining commentary. It helps that she was always at hand to take photos of us as a couple against chosen backdrops. We were there early at about 0830 with the crowd numbers growing with every hour. It was nice to be able to see locals exercising. A good experience One warning regarding the fine print - the company advertises that transportation fees to the temple of Heaven is included - what this actually means is that the guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and then bring you to the nearest subway and then make your way to the Temple of Heaven. This should not be an issue for most travellers except that both my wife and I have issues with the joints in our legs with the many steps we had to undertake via line 1 (apparently, since this was the oldest line, there were no elevators or escalators) not helping at all. Coupled with the fondness of locals not respecting personal space, wanting to cut infront at every opportunity and the general quick pace one have to move less be nudged from human traffic behind, it was less than a stellar start to an otherwise very good tour.
