Guide was knowledgeable and was well informed about the Palace. The Palace itself is magnificent. Glad I booked the tour. Appreciated the fact that the tour allowed us to meet the guide at the Palace rather than their office. Allowed us to finish a tour that was rescheduled at the last minute.
We were not able to buy next day tickets because they were sold out with the palace directly, so our only option was to book the small group tickets with “Fun & Tickets”. It was worth the extra we payed because our guide Nacho was a wealth of information that we wouldn’t have gotten alone. Thank you Nacho!
The group was so large and some of the rooms were so small that we were hearing the explanation of rooms we have not yet entered
I have used Viator in years past and have recommended them to countless people, but this experience fell short. What should have been a small group landed up being a group of 26 that ultimately ran 45 mins late. The tour guide (Nacho) would have probably been fantastic but the poor guy spent more time keeping track of the group than sharing information. He managed the best he could and we did have a decent time hence my rating of 3 stars, but it’s not what we signed up for.

The tour and tour guide to the Royal Palace of Madrid were wonderful. The check in was a bit tedious since we thought it was supposed to be skip the line tour. The group was a bit large and crowded. Otherwise, everything was wonderful!!

It gets you a little more ahead of personal walk-ins and more knowledge but still crowded. The guide was friendly but had to herd group while touring and then protecting the group from other tours. About 25% of the security staff were irritable without cause. You could even see other staff cringing at their attitude. Its a palace... Its a tour...Its not private.
