Not at all worthwhile because the guide's accent was so strong and his speech so fast that he was unintelligible. I took out my earpieces 1/3 through out of frustration. The poor quality of the receiver didn’t help. I noted in my pre visit comments that I don't hear as well as others, but Viator doesn't. make any accommodations. I noticed several others had also removed their earpieces in frustration.

I booked this bcoz I wanted a 9:30 Am guided tour of the royal palace. We go the fun and tickets office promptly at 9:15 am and they asked us to wait till 9:30. And then when a whole bunch of people who had signed up also arrived at the office. Now the guy slowly tells me that he was trying to reach me the previous night to tell me that the tour has been delayed by 30 mins. Nearly 30 of us waited for 30 minutes and then a guide arrived. We wanted an English speaking guide. This guy had such an accent non of us understood what he was saying. He also lacked any solid knowledge about the royal family history. He kept on going about what each room is. I have been traveling for 20 years and have used quite a bit of guided tours. This is the first time when the guide said we are fine with the tour, everybody literally left, nobody even bothered to thank him. I think he was a last minute fill in for somebody else and overall it was a very bad experience.

The palace is beautiful for sure and a must see. The history is incredible. I do not speak Spanish and our guide had a strong accent and talked fast. That made it difficult to follow a lot of the time. Also, we had. Person who was not feeling well and the guide was unsympathetic and kept saying just a few minutes longer. The same response was given for others who needed a restroom . A palace security person finally helped the person who did not feel well and he found everyone else a bathroom once we were outside the palace, which was 45 minutes later. I would have enjoyed the palace more if I would have seen it independently.

Isabella, the guide is very kind. It was a very good experience where she shared a lot of information and very interesting fun facts.

Tour was well organised and a good pace. Really helped by Jesus and his knowledge and sense of humour. Besting the public line was well worth it as the Palace was very busy. Would recommend this tour

This was a very fast-paced walking tour. We booked it last minute..which is on us 100%. But the group was WAY too large. We had 28 people. The Palace was incredibly crowded..and our guide was walking very fast to cover all of the area but lacking to see who was left behind and stuck in the crowds. There was one point where my husband was too far away from the guide his radio cut out and he couldn’t hear our guide..strictly due to crowds and trying to weave between people. Most times the guide was explaining a room in which we were unable to stand in to see what he was describing because the group couldn’t all fit. We don’t feel as though we learned much at all.

This tour was two very different experiences. The “walking tour” portion was just walking from the office to the palace with very minimal information along the way. We walked past, did not enter the Plaza Mayor and Mercado San Miguel. There is more info on the tour page than we received. The cathedral stop involved 10 minutes to walk yourself around. I would have rated this experience one star. However, then we went into the palace and the guide was engaging and full of information. This portion of the tour was obviously the guide’s passion and purpose. I would rate this part 5 stars. If you are looking for an old town walking tour, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a palace guided tour, this is great!

Rodrigo was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and was also quite funny. The views were breathtaking. Be prepared for approx. 10k steps.

This tour was amazing, great value. It started with great communication and warm smiles. Entered palace quickly and smoothly. Beatrice was exceptionally knowledgeable ( answered our questions clearly), was very personable and had a great sense of humor. We walked at a nice pace (glad we wore comfy shoes and had water). Palace itself was absolutely magnificent. Loved that Beatrice provided history for each room and just did not walk through rooms. Great way to start our visit. Glad we decided to take this tour. Next up, Hop Off, Hop On Bus.
