ポンペイとヘルクラネウムスキップザライン、ランチとローマのワインテイスティング

Visiting Pompeii & Herculaneum was a bucket list experience for my wife & I during our European holiday and booking through ItalyBesTours turned out to be an excellent decision. We were picked up in the morning by our friendly driver, Giovanni, and felt at ease from the start. He was very knowledgeable about both the history of both Italy & Rome and provided a combination of interesting and fun facts throughout our full day private tour. The first stop was a buffalo mozzarella farm, his personal favourite, with an opportunity to learn the end-to-end production process while also having the opportunity to taste a platter of their magnificent product. Lunch was a stop at the Cantina del Vesuvio winery set on the Mt. Vesuvius hillside. We were greeted with a champagne on arrival and taken for a tour of the production facilities. Then onto the rooftop of the winery with views of the bay on one side & Vesuvius as the backdrop on the other. There we enjoyed a delicious 4-course meal accompanied by a tasting of all 6 of their premium wines. What an amazing experience. We then moved onto Pompeii & Herculaneum for the walk through both sites. It was mind-blowing seeing both sites where buildings, artefacts and people were literally frozen in time as the result of the devastating Vesuvius eruption, So much history and interesting facts about the locations & the people who lived during those times. We were then returned to our hotel that evening after a very full day of exciting new experiences.
