Booked this last minute after another tour company cancelled, and it was excellent! Our guide Katherine was friendly, knowledgeable, personable and accommodating. She shared the fascinating about the castles and pointed out endless items that we would have never known about without a guide. Highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed a special day with our wonderful guide, Sebastian! He customized the schedule to allow us to see everything from Sintra and the palaces to Cascias and the Westernmost Lighthouse and beautiful countryside views!! A FULL day that began and ended at our hotel doorstep. Wear comfy shoes and being a jacket!! Highly recommended!!

Pedro G was the BEST tour guide for our group of 3 couples! He was always prompt, anticipated needs (bathroom stops, coffee/pastry break, lunch recommendation, walking pace) and shared his vast and detailed knowledge of the sites, their history and architectural details with humor and comfortable American English fluency. His style encouraged active participation, and he appreciated our questions. At the end of the day, he offered (and we accepted) to make a dinner reservation for us as well! I would highly recommend PedroG for anyone considering this tour!

Pedro was a wonderful guide. He was so knowledgeable and started off by giving the entire history of the country, leading up to Sintra and how these beautiful sites became what they are today. He was very patient and answered every question that we had. He gave us suggestions for lunch and waited patiently as we took our time in Sintra. I could not recommend this tour enough.

Sebastian from I Go Portugal Tours picked us up for a great day of sightseeing in Sintra from Lisbon. He was on time and waiting for us in a comfortable van well air conditioned! Sebastian figured out the best route for our full day tour which included Pena and Regaleira Castles, Boca do Inferno-Cascais, and Cape Roca-Sintra. We did both castles from the outside as research indicated not much to see in our opinion. However at Regaleira we saw the incredible Initiation Well and caves not to be missed! Sebastian did a great job bringing us from place to place and staying with us as we toured! We even had time to eat lunch in Sintra! Please note, you do have to buy tickets to see the castles and to get on the grounds. I recommend that you contact the tour company in advance to guarantee times and to go over your itinerary. It is too much to do more than 2 castles in one day!

We booked a private day tour to Sintra, which included visits to Pena Palace, The Regaleira, Cabo do Roca, and the Boca do Inferno. Our guide, Miguel, arrived to pick us up on time and off we went to begin the day's adventure. As I had booked a tour on a previous visit, we chatted about that tour as you would "pick up where you left off" with an old friend. Miguel shared his deep knowledge of facts and tales about political and cultural history of Portugal with passion and humor. It is evident that he continues to grow his expansive knowledge as new details, facts, and stories were shared throughout the day. Not surprisingly, the little cafe he recommended for us to have lunch was lovely, full of character, charm, and tasty food. As we ended our day in Cascais, Miguel recommended a local restaurant for us to try the Piri Piri Chicken - and it was another hit! We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will relive the tales and laughs shared every timevwe look at our MANY photos we took. Could not recommend this tour, and most definitely our guide enough. We look forward to returning to Sintra again to experience some of the other palaces, and will 100% request Miguel if he's available.
