Very knowledgeable guide about fun facts about Venice that I didn’t know. Was on time to our requested meeting point. Gave us recommendations on where to go around the city

We booked with TripAdvisor who subcontracted to Guydeez tours. Would check and see if it is cheaper to book direct next time. We were so grateful to our tour guide Majid for being flexible and patient. Our flight was delayed so we had to adjust times. It was a scorching day and we were exhausted from overnight travel so he paced out tour accordingly. Majid met us promptly at our hotel, texted via WhatsApp that he was there, and toured us through 2 of the 6 sestieri (districts). We stayed primarily in San Marco (St. Mark's Square and Doge's Palace) and San Polo (the Rialto bridge and an authentic mask making shop where we felt a little pressured to linger and purchase). Majid was the real deal guide, clearly extensively educated and carrying maps and visuals with him and pointing out many small details we would have missed. He blended practical knowledge with fun stories and interesting historical details. He made suggestions about where to shop, eat, and see when we asked him but did not push any one particular vendor other than the mask shop. This is definitely the way to get the "lay of the land" for the most touristy parts of Venice but would not satisfy anyone looking to see the Jewish ghetto in Cannaregio, or explore the art and student hub of Dorsoduro, or see the shipyards or gardens of Castello. To be fair, we grossly underestimated the size of Venice and getting to all of those in a 2 hour tour is wildly unrealistic!

Our first guide was canceled at the last minute; we were offered to reschedule the tour, and Majid came to take over. He was incredible and allowed us to take a custom tour according to our wishes; he was perfect. A thousand thanks

I had reserved this tour 1.5 months prior was assigned a guide that was proactively communicating with us. 5 days prior to our tour the guide was changed and though I expressed concern I was assured it was one of their top guides. I attempted to contact the guide multiple times to confirm the tour agenda with no success. 2:30am the day of the scheduled tour the guide reached out recommending we change our tour from 9:30am to 17:00. The guide did not show at 9:30am and after reaching out to the tour company they responded but as well wanted to reschedule and assign a new guide.

Majid was great, knowleable and respectful to our needs. He showed everything in detail including history lesson.

Francesco was an amazing guide. He took us away from the tourist areas and gave us an authentic Venetian viewpoint!!
