We had a fabulous excursion with Johan as our guide to the waterfall and Fernando showed us amazing wildlife (sloths, viper snakes, etc). It was an educational day and a great way to explore the ecosystem of Costa Rica. Highly recommend!

What experience? Got an email this morning saying our trip for this morning was refunded. We’re sitting here waiting for a pick up!!!!
Thank you for your comment, dear traveler. Entrance tickets to national parks are limited, and we send a message to everyone who books through online platforms requesting their full name and passport number. This information is checked upon entry to the national park. As in this case and many others, people don't answer calls or messages. Many don't send the required information 24 hours in advance, as per our policy. If the information isn't sent, the reservation is canceled, as happened with this client who, at 8:00 AM on the day of the tour, still hadn't received the cancellation notification. The activity did indeed not take place, but this was due to the client's negligence.
Carlos and Orlando were excellent tour guides and took great care of us. We saw and learned about sloths and many other jungle creatures. We also had a coffee and chocolate tour and tastings plus swimming by waterfalls. It was a wonderful day with very attentive guides.

Our guide Gustavo was amazing! He was prompt for pick up at the hotel. He was very knowledgeable and made stops for photo ops and a fruit stand when time allowed. He was kind and funny and made sure we had a good time. We saw a family of Tapirs, a Three Toed Sloth, an Eye-lashed Pit Viper, the most beautiful Red Eyed Tree Frog, as well as many beautiful birds and flora/fauna. The authentic Costa Rican lunch was amazing. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing experience! Our guide, Gustavo, has a university degree in ecology. Very knowledgeable, and we checked off almost every animal on our wish list! Tapir, Sloths, Tree Frogs... Awesome service and super friendly people along the way. Highly recommended!

This was a perfect day exploring the rainforest. We were a group of 4, ranging from ages 2 to 65. We were picked up promptly and taken to a nice breakfast. We then headed to Parque Nacional Volcan Tenerio about 2 hours away. The van was new and clean. The hike was good. The guide was very patient with us, taking lots of breaks for my senior mom. Once we made it to the waterfall, it was very beautiful. We took some photos and headed back. Once we exited the park, we stopped at a local fruit stand for snacks. We then went to the sloth watching part of the tour. We saw about 5 sloths, including a baby hanging out by the water. We also saw some snakes, frogs, and lots of beautiful plant life. We had a deliciois lunch and stopped at a souvenir shop before being dropped back off at our hotel room. I highly recommend!

It was beautiful! Our guide was fabulous. We were taken to a local spot for breakfast, hiked in the rain forest down to the waterfall, off to the sloth sanctuary where we saw sloths, frogs, birds with a guide that was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Stopped at a local place for lunch. Highly recommend. We had the best time! Of note, we ranged in age from 19-64 and we all survived!

This tour was worth the cost. Full day trip to the National park with hike to Rio Celeste waterfall to witness its stunning beauty. We then had lunch at an authentic and nice restaurant with great food and service, followed by a wildlife walk on their grounds where we saw howling monkeys, toucans and sloths. The final stop was for a cacao and coffee tour which was also fantastic. Definitely recommend this experience with Nexus Tours.

Our experience with the tour company itself wasn’t a pleasant one. The day before I reached out to them multiple times to get the details around the meet up time, location, and driver. Never heard a thing. I ended up calling at 7 pm that night to get the details. The day of our tour, they had not provided security with the drivers details, so even with us staying onsite they wouldn’t let him in. The tour company’s solution was for me to work with the driver and security to get him through. We ended up losing an hour of our day because of this. Enrique our driver/guide was fantastic. Our day with him more than made up for the troubles on the front end. The tour itself was great, but my interaction with Aye tours was not.
Thank you for your review, we believe your rating is not in line with the tour you received. Leaving aside the fact that you omitted the welcome message in your email and Enrique actually lost an hour because you didn't even know where you staying in a complex that is huge and if you don't give authorization you can't enter, which was really the case. what happened. Nor did you send the full names of the people who were traveling with you. Friends, Passport or ID information is essential to evit this type of comments
This tour was so much fun and our guide Alonzo was so knowledgeable! The views were beautiful and breathtaking. Alonzo really made the hike memorable by pointing out all the wildlife. The sloth sanctuary was amazing and we were able to see so many animals! 10/10 would do again!
