Amazing experience! Transportation was provided to and from our hotel in Sorrento to Pompeii and also to the winery. Giacomo was a great driver and pointed out things to see along the way. Lala was very knowledgeable of Pompeii and showed us a lot of the city in just 2 hours. The winery lunch was delicious and you could not beat the views of Mt Vesuvius while having a glass of wine. Would definitely recommend this tour if you are in the area and want a cool experience.

From a historical perspective, Pompeii is an archeological treasure. A city and its people, trapped forever in a moment of time.

This tour met our expectations. We were picked up at our hotel in Sorrento and driven to the entrance of the archeological site in Pompeii, where we met our tour group (9 people total) for a tour of the museum and the ruins. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative and gave us a good overview of the history of Pompeii, descriptions of what we were seeing, and answering questions. For me, the length of the tour was good to provide an overview of Pompeii, without being overwhelming. If you are looking for an indepth visit, or looking to spend the day exploring Pompeii, a different tour would better suit your needs. After touring the archeological ruins, we left the park, and we're transported as a group to a vineyard near the base of Mt Vesuvius. We were served a variety of wines from the vineyard to accompany our lunch (cheese and meats plate, pasta, and dessert with limoncello). The food and wine were very good. We got to make friends with the other members of our tour group. After lunch, we got to relax on the grounds, and take in the scenery before being driven back to our hotel.

Our driver was fantastic, picked us up directly where we were staying. Our tour guide Manuela was amazing and so knowledgeable. The wine tasting was also fantastic!! Tasted so good we got some shipped home!

Absolutely great experience with seamless travel, very knowledgeable guides and great food. Would 100% recommend this to anyone!

Absolutely amazing experience! Pick up from the hotel in Sorrento on time, knowledgeable Pompei tour guide, lots of wine and food, limoncello, meloncello,.. :) at the amazing wine tasting place! And drop off at the hotel back in Sorrento! We couldn’t have asked for more!

A perfect day out. We would likely recommend anyone thinking of visiting Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius to consider this trip. It is a little more expensive than other trips you might see or perhaps if you decide to do it yourself. We have chatted to other guests at our hotel who went to Pompeii on the same day, we think they regretted not booking this tour. There were only about 12 on our tour, which was about right. Pompeii was full of larger tour groups of about 30-40 people, which seemed too big. We were really well looked after. The customer service staff online were really very pleasant and helpful. They provided useful instructions once booked. The drivers picked us up from our hotel (20 mins early, not a criticism as he waited patiently) and dropped us back at our hotel in the evening. They were friendly, chatty, but careful drivers. The Pompeii guide was keen to show us what she felt were the most impressive finds we could view within our time limitations being a huge site. Don’t expect to see everything on your bucket list as you won’t have the time. Again our guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. A good pair of walking shoes, water and protection from the sun are important. If you are travelling there independently to meet at Pompeii rather than using the transfer minibus please try to make sure you do arrive early as the instructions request, we had to wait for late comers before we could start the tour. It rained at the Mount Vesuvius wine tasting/ restaurant. You eat in an area covered with grapes hanging from vines. The rain and thunder added to the experience in a good way. The restaurant staff were excellent, friendly and very attentive. At the end of the meal we bought a bottle of wine, some arranged for cases to be shipped home. Our co-ordinator at the restaurant was lively and looked after us really well, taking us to our transportation back to the hotel. The treatment we had was exceptional and it was really the best trip I have ever been on. Very good value for money. I recommend this experience by Taste the Experience through Viator.
