Itinerary
Start your walk at the KKL Luzern. Just open Ciceru nearby to begin exploring this lakeside landmark entirely from the outside, where Jean Nouvel’s vast floating roof and water channels turn modern architecture into a quiet performance.
Walk along the exterior of the 14th century Chapel Bridge and its iconic Water Tower. Admire the surviving triangular paintings and the rebuilt sections after the 1993 fire, all visible without entering any interior spaces.
View the Jesuit Church from its Baroque façade and lakeside steps. Its curves, twin towers and stucco rich exterior reveal the Counter Reformation boldness without needing to step inside.
Cross the Spreuer Bridge and observe its outdoor Dance of Death paintings from the walkway. The panels, structure and riverside chapel can all be appreciated from the bridge itself.
Pause at the Renaissance style Rathaus. Its arcades, farmhouse style roof and riverside setting tell the story from the outside. Markets and civic life animate the square without interior access.
Walk along the base paths of the Musegg Wall and view the towers rising above the city. The Zytturm clock’s early chime and the medieval fortifications can be admired from the exterior walkways.
Stop outside Max Chocolatier for a moment of sweetness. Appreciate the elegant storefront and the scent drifting out the door while keeping this stop as an outside only visit.
Take in the exterior of the Hofkirche and its surviving medieval towers. The front steps, façade details and quiet cemetery offer a complete outdoor experience.
Wrap up your tour at the Lion Monument. Stand before the carved cliffside sculpture and reflect on its quiet power before ending your walk at this open air memorial.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the experience. Our tour is designed as a self guided audio experience with structured stops, commentary and navigation, but we understand it did not meet your expectations. Please contact us at info@ciceru.com with your booking details, and we’ll be happy to look into it and make it right.
Definitely plan to give yourself at least 2-3 hours so you can have a leisurely tour and take in all the sights in between each stop. Also, make sure to stop for snacks and/or meals along the way!
Thank you so much, Jessica! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the Lucerne tour, and your tips are great advice for future travelers who want to take their time and enjoy the sights along the way.
