Zipline and Hanging Bridges Combo Tour in Monteverde Cloud Forest

Description
Take a trip high into the treetops where you can zipline through the clouds on a course that is 2 miles long and includes a Tarzan swing. After this exhilarating experience, take your time to float through the clouds as you walk on the notorious hanging bridges, walking on eight different bridges with various lengths ranging between 150 feet up to 510 feet. Embrace this time to appreciate the beauty of nature and breathtaking views around you. Monteverde is privileged to receive a steady supply of clouds and the life-giving moisture that they contain. This moisture, often in the form of fog, catches on the branches of the tallest trees and drips down to the other organisms below. This helps to support a complex and far-reaching ecosystem, one that harbors over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, tens of thousands of insect species, and over 2,500 varieties of plants, 420 of which are orchids alone. Lunch is included only for tours from Guanacaste (pacific coast)

What an incredible day in the Monteverde cloud forest! Our guide Kevin and our driver Christian were the best! They picked our family up at our villa in Tamarindo at 5:30am and took us into the mountains to zipline, see sloths and hike through the forest and hanging bridges. The ziplines were exciting and the cloudforest was beautiful! I would highly recommend this full day trip with Native’s Way to see and experience a different part of the country. Be sure to ask for Kevin and Christian!
We’re so happy to know that your family had such a memorable day exploring Monteverde! Thank you for sharing your experience and for recommending Native’s Way. Kevin and Christian will be thrilled to hear your kind words. We’re glad they made the early start from Tamarindo worthwhile and helped your family enjoy every part of the adventure, from the exciting ziplining to spotting sloths and exploring the cloud forest and hanging bridges. Monteverde is truly a special part of Costa Rica, and we love being able to share its unique landscapes and wildlife with our guests. Thank you again for choosing us and for highlighting Kevin and Christian. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming your family back for another Costa Rican adventure. Pura Vida, Native's Way
We had an absolutely fabulous experience with Native’s Way on our trip to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, and a huge part of that was our guide, Kevin, and our driver, Aladberto. The three-hour drive to Monteverde could have felt like a long haul, but Kevin and Aladberto made it part of the experience. Both were incredibly talkative and happy to share stories about themselves, their hometown, and the places we were passing along the way. It gave us a really nice glimpse into Costa Rican life and culture, and honestly, the drive seemed to fly by. Aladberto was also an excellent driver, and we felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time. Once we arrived, Kevin knew exactly what he was doing. Having him there to help us navigate the park and get through the process quickly was fantastic. He knew where to go and what to do to get us started with the ziplining, which meant we could spend less time figuring things out and more time enjoying the adventure. And what an adventure it was! Soaring several hundred feet above the cloud forest was absolutely unforgettable. There is something pretty incredible about flying through the canopy with the forest stretching out around you. After ziplining, we met back up with Kevin for our guided walk through the hanging bridges. Just like the ziplining, it gave us a completely different perspective of the cloud forest, this time right up in the canopy. Kevin was incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and was happy to spend as much time as we wanted stopping, looking, and taking it all in. It never felt rushed. After the tours, we enjoyed a fabulous traditional Costa Rican lunch in Monteverde at Bon Appétit. And a special shout-out to them for the wood-fired Margherita pizza we sampled. Wow. 🍕 That was an unexpected highlight! The drive back was much quieter, which was perfect after a full day of adventure. We were able to sit back, relax, and rest while Aladberto handled the drive. From start to finish, this was a fantastic day. Kevin and Aladberto were wonderful representatives of Native’s Way, and their knowledge, personalities, and professionalism really helped make the experience special. We would absolutely recommend Native’s Way to anyone looking to experience the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful and detailed review of your Monteverde experience. We’re thrilled to hear that Kevin and Adalberto made your day so enjoyable from start to finish. It’s wonderful to know that you felt comfortable and safe during the journey, enjoyed their stories and local insights, and appreciated Kevin’s knowledge throughout the ziplining and hanging bridges. We’re especially happy that the cloud forest and the incredible views made the adventure so memorable. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Kevin and Adalberto. And we’re also glad to hear that the lunch at Bon Appétit was another highlight of your day. It sounds like that Margherita pizza was quite the surprise! Thank you for choosing Native’s Way and for your heartfelt recommendation. We hope to welcome you back for another Costa Rican adventure. Pura Vida, Native's Way
The ziplining and hanging bridge experience was great, but can't recommend booking through trip advisor! First and last time I'll do that. They told us to arrive at 9am for a 9:30 tour come to find out the tours are at 8:30 and 11. Luckily we got there just before 9 and was able to get in the 8:30 group. Also the description of the experience mentions a superman zipline, but that's an additional charge.
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the ziplining and hanging bridges! We apologize for the confusion regarding the tour times and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We will review the information displayed on TripAdvisor to ensure it is accurate and up to date. Regarding the Superman zipline, this is an optional add-on offered by the park, and we'll work to make that distinction clearer in the tour description. Thank you for joining us, and we hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future!
Book directly with Selvatura park. Viator doesn’t do anything other than come pick you up and tell you to check in with reception. Had I known this I would have booked directly with the park saving about $40-50. Everything is self paced at the park, aside from ziplining which is guided. Highly recommend the park, just DONT BOOK WITH VIATOR.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Selvatura Park. We understand your comments regarding the booking platform. Our tour includes transportation from Monteverde hotels upon request, reservation coordination, and customer support before and during your experience, which are all reflected in the tour price. We truly appreciate your comments, as feedback from our guests helps us continue improving and making the booking experience better for future travelers. Pura Vida, Native's Way Costa Rica
I can see why this is a must do excursion for Monte Verde. Well organized and great team of staff who accompany you through the zip lines. Lovely views of the cloud forest while zipping along. Tarzan swing was a huge hit for the brave people in our group. If Tarzan swing was too tame for you, you can pay for the Superman position on the last zipline. The Hanging Bridges were opportunity to see the cloud forest from a closer distance. Even saw a howler monkey on one of the bridges. We think he enjoyed being the center of attention. It’s an experience that we would all do again.
This experience was amazing. Breath taking scenery walking through the jungle literally feels like you are where heaven and earth meet. Kevin our guide was amazing full of knowledge; he was excellent
Excellent ziplining! There's a lot of walking, sometimes uphills, between some of the ziplines. I should have worked out before participating. There were people of all ages doing all the activities.
This was my first time zip lining, and I had an absolute blast. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
My tour got canceled the day before and my two options were either pay extra money for the tour to go on or pick another date so I wouldn’t recommend I contacted Viator for a full refund and it was easy
A very long day that was very worth it (also very worth it to have a local driver navigate us to the Cloud Forest)! Our guide Kevin picked us up at 5:30 am from Brasilito and we arrived at Selvatura Park by 9 am for ziplines and a guided walk across the hanging bridges. We were added to a very big group for ziplines (maybe 40 people), but once we got going, we flew across 15 cables high above the tree canopy with only a few stopping points. It was so surreal, and the Tarzan swing was a lot of fun, too! They take pictures for purchase of the first two runs. Be aware that there are some longer walks/steep hills when switching from one section of the course to the next - hiking shoes are smart. We met up with Kevin and the other folks on our Native's Way tour who visited another section of the park while we did ziplines and did a guided hike together. We were moving pretty quickly from one activity to the next and felt a little rushed, but we slowed down every time we saw a bird or animal (we even spotted a female resplendent quetzal!). Lunch was delicious – we had to order in advance and all picked the Costa Rican option, but the pizzas looked great too. We arrived back in Brasilito at 7 pm after a stop at El Jardin for bathrooms and souvenirs. A heads up that the roads can get very bumpy higher into the mountains and the closer you get to the park (a “Costa Rican massage”), so if you’re easily motion sick, consider taking or bringing along medicine.
