The driver will greet you at your downtown hotel lobby at the scheduled pickup time (notified one day in advance). The drive to the Terracotta Army Museum takes 1 hour. Your English-speaking guide will show you around Pit 1, Pit 2, Pit 3 and extra gallery with new discoveries. Here you will see more than 8,000 life-sized terracotta figures, including infantry, cavalry and archers. You will also learn about the military strategies, economy, politics and imperial ideology of the Warring States Period, and explore this magnificent underground mausoleum. After the 2.5-hour tour, you may take a 15–20 minute break. You can use the restroom, grab drinks or shop for souvenirs. We will then transfer you back to your downtown hotel. *** Honestly trust the tour guide*** Jah Jah was the best tour guide I have ever had - and I have used plenty on my travels. She was so good with my husband and our 2 children. Helped us navigate around a busy popular place and had lots of knowledge. Her English was fantastic, and she knew all the local knowledge dodges. She genuinely really cared about everyone having a great time. She is fantastic. I will definitely not hesitate to using this company or her again. She is the standard that I wish all tour guides should have. We will miss her. We did everything that was advised and due to her - we had the best time out ever. Listen to your tour guide. They know more than you.
Our driver was wonderful and guide exceptional. Our guide, David, spoke excellent English and was an expert on the terracotta warriors - he really added value to the experience for us and was happy to answer a range of questions. He also expertly and politely navigated the absolutely insane crowds in the heat & never showed any indication he was at all bothered. I would highly recommend this tour. Our driver drove us safely and comfortably to our destination, using a translation app to communicate very effectively with us.

David was an amazing tour guide! His passion and pride of the terracotta warriors made his detailed explanations with funny anecdotes even more engaging and informative. We’ve been before and have to say David’s guidance was the best! He even introduced us to the youngest farmer who found the terracotta warriors and we were able to take photos with him! The driver was lovely too, the drive was smooth and he even stopped on the side of the road on the way back so we could take photos of the hill/burial mountain of the emperor qin shi huang. Highly recommend this tour!
We were lucky to join this tour during off-peak season. The queues were short, and since there were only two of us, the tour felt like a private one. Terracota museum worth seeing. We learnt and respect the workers who made the army. Joyce was a great tour guide. She explained things well and answered all our questions clearly. She even find and show us supporting literature to answer our questions. Moreover, she respect us as moslems and even showed us to a recommended Muslim restaurant and helped us order food since we don't understand Chinese.
Our family of 4 went on a tour with Ping's to view the Terracotta Army. Ping was prompt and clear in her communication with us immediately after our purchase, with follow ups till the day of the activity. Our English speaking guide David was fantastic in pacing the tour keeping our kids in mind. Description was clear and English was good. Totally recommend doing this tour for this activity so that you get a good insight into the history that is not in the descriptions and may be quite different if you DIY-ed using the displays and audio guides.
