Your first stop of the day is at Bowness that sits on the shores of Windermere. You have time here to take a leisurely cruise* upon the lake or wander around the town and admire the sublime views of the landscapes.
*45 minutes cruise will be included in tour price
Place Wordsworth described as “the loveliest spot that man hath found”. There's free time to visit Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage, taste the legendary gingerbread, or enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden by the River Rothy.
A beautiful conservation village where you can discover tasty delicacies and cobbled lanes.

- You're restricted to 20kg (44lbs) of luggage per person. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) plus one small bag for onboard personal items.
- In order to retain the integrity of the tour and try to ensure that all our customers have the best possible experience, we do cap bookings from any one party to 8 passengers.

Thanks to the selection of spots, I was able to get an initial, appealing impression of the Lake District. The 1-day tour is of course short because of the long drive there and back, but it is definitely worth it.
It was an enjoyable day. The tour guide /driver was very professional at his job. He gave us a full story of the region, its history present and past. We enjoyed the boat ride and the surroundings. Will do it again.

I had a perfect experience! The 16 seater coach started right on time and our guide, Rob, was superb— helpful, knowledgeable, and punctual. The Windermere lake, the little villages of Grasmere and Hawkshead, Wordsworth’s cottage— all done in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this trip. I would highly recommend the Rabbie’s tour company as well.
