Itinerary
The experience begins when a friendly guide greets you at the meeting point. You'll be part of a small group of no more than 11 travellers aboard a comfortable minibus that takes you south out of the city along the beaches of Botany Bay and through the Royal National Park. First stop is Bald Hill Lookout, a popular launch site for hang gliders and para gliders, which affords sweeping views of the Illawarra coastline and the famous Sea Cliff Bridge. After the break it's just a few minutes drive to the family-run Symbio Wildlife Park which is active in koala conservation. Here you'll find out everything you ever wanted to know about these fascinating marsupials during a private koala experience with a keeper. Snap the ultimate selfie - just you and a koala. You’ll also be able to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies and get up close to other native Australian wildlife. Next you'll meander along the Grand Pacific Drive traversing the Sea Cliff Bridge as it sweeps out over the ocean, well clear of the crumbling cliffs to which the old highway clung. You’ll continue to follow the scenic coastline to a golden beach where you’ll enjoy lunch in a café popular with locals with views out over the ocean. Bring your swimmers for a dip if the sun is out! In the afternoon you’ll head up through temperate rainforest into the Southern Highlands. An easy hike leads to viewpoints that take in the spectacular sandstone gorges and towering waterfalls of the Morton National Park. Finally, you’ll drive along country roads to a boutique winery to sample locally-produced, cool climate wine before returning to Sydney. Arrival back at Circular Quay is around 6:30pm.

My wife and I had an incredible experience on the Wildlife, Waterfalls & Wine tour. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and offered the perfect mix of native Australian wildlife, stunning coastal and bushland views, and local wine tasting. The highlight for me was visiting the Symbio Wildlife Park and feeding the kangaroos. A special shout-out to our tour guide, Rohan, who truly made the trip exceptional! His knowledge of Sydney's history, geography, and wildlife was remarkable, and he kept us engaged and entertained throughout the day. Rohan went above and beyond to take us around the Bradman Oval (not in the official tour) after learning of my interest in cricket. Feeding the kangaroos and wallabies, getting up close with koalas, seeing the breathtaking waterfalls, and wrapping up the day at the winery made for a memorable experience. We couldn't have asked for a better day trip—highly recommended to anyone visiting the Sydney area!
We're so pleased your day became such a memorable part of your visit. One of the things we love most is sharing places that have a personal connection for our guides, so it's wonderful to hear that the extra stop at Bradman Oval made the experience even more special. Thank you for your generous recommendation, and we hope Australia welcomes you back again one day. Cheers, from all of the team @WildlifeWaterfallsWine.com

Hi Greg, "It had everything" is exactly what we were hoping to create when we designed this experience, so your review really made our day. Thanks for joining us and for sharing your kind words. We hope this was one of those travel days you'll be talking about for years to come. Cheers, from all of the team @WildlifeWaterfallsWine.com
This was an amazing day trip—if you’re looking to get out of Sydney and see some of the Australian countryside this is a perfect chance. Steve was an incredible tour guide, telling us both about the places we were going but also sprinkling in experiences from his life (driving by creeks he played in as a kid, local places he spent time growing up, etc) that added to the trip and showed he really knew what he was talking about. The range of things we were able to see/experience in a day was a great value for the money and it was a stress-free way to check a bunch of boxes off my travel list.
Hi, Some of the best travel experiences come from seeing a destination through the eyes of someone who calls it home, so we're thrilled that resonated with you. Thank you for choosing to spend the day exploring beyond Sydney with us. We hope those memories stay with you long after you've returned home. Cheers, from all of the team @WildlifeWaterfallsWine.com
Rob was a perfect guide! Personable and knowledgeable about the area and a definite part of a great day. Absolutely amazing experience feeding the wallabies and kangaroos. And petting the koala as a private part of the tour before the zoo opened was ideal. The waterfall was an easy hike and the wine tasting lovely to end the tour. Windy roads are beautifully scenic but if you get it all carsick shake something ahead of time.
We love your review title! 😊 There aren't many places in the world where you can come away with memories like that, and we're so happy your day was filled with so many special moments. Thanks for the shout-out to Rob and for the helpful tip for future travellers. It was a pleasure having you join us, and we hope you'll visit Australia again someday. Cheers, from all of the team @WildlifeWaterfallsWine.com
As a solo traveler, this was hands down one of the highlights of my trip to Australia. The day was so well planned and packed with incredible experiences without ever feeling rushed. Getting to feed the kangaroos was such a fun experience, and going into the koala enclosure early to actually touch the koalas was amazing. The waterfalls, coastal views, seaside lunch, and wine tasting made for a perfect day. Steve, the other Steve, was a fantastic guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the whole day fun. The small group size also made it really easy and comfortable as a solo traveler. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney.

What a wonderful day outside of Sydney. The wildlife part was the biggest highlight, I could have stayed there all day but there was so much more to see. Pro tip though: Bring a jacket!!! It was freezing at the waterfall. Definitely recommend this tour, as long as you bring a jacket.
Thank you Maren! We’re so glad you enjoyed your day exploring beyond Sydney with us. Sounds like the wildlife experience was a real highlight, those close up encounters are pretty special. And yes, the waterfalls can definitely surprise people with the temperature, especially when the wind picks up. Your jacket tip is very good advice for future guests. Thanks again for joining us and for taking the time to leave a review. Cheers, from all of the team @WildlifeWaterfallsWine.com
Wonderful way to meet wildlife and get out of the city! After petting koalas and feeding kangaroos, I felt I had gotten my money’s worth but that was just the start. The day continued with beautiful views and so much information about Australia. Tony was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend to spend a day with Wildlife, Waterfalls, and Wine!
