Whistler Sightseeing & Sea to Sky Gondola Tour from Vancouver

Description
Board your mini-coach and tour the famous Sea to Sky Highway along Howe Sound, the southernmost glacial fjord in North America. Feel the spray from British Columbia’s third-highest waterfall, Shannon Falls. Next it is on to the Sea to Sky Gondola. Board the gondola and ascend 850 metres to the top to soak up the panoramic views. Our tour then continues north to Whistler where you will join a short guided walking tour of Whistler Village (optional). Then there is plenty of free time to explore at your own pace. Visit the shops, stop in an art gallery, or do as the locals do and find the perfect patio along the village stroll for a moment to relax at this stunning mountain resort. Whistler Resort is renowned as an outdoor meca, so feel free to ask your guide about additional activities you can take part in during your free time. When your time in Whistler comes to an end, enjoy the scenic tour back along the Sea to Sky Highway to where your tour began.

We met our guide Andre at 8.30am by the Holiday Inn on Howe Street and we were soon on our merry way on the Sea to Sky Highway, taking in the scenery on our about 60 minute journey to our first stop at Shannon Falls. The falls are lovely, close to the parking area for those less physically able you can still see the 335 metres high drop. If you are able the short walk is worth it to take in the falls in all their glory. A short stop here but more than enough time to take in the views and get some photos. Its then a short journey to the Sea to Sky Gondola and a scenic journey up to the suspension bridge. Relive Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom on this near 100 metres long suspension bridge, a great view a great experience and plenty of scenic photo opportunities. Back on the gondola and down to our waiting coach for the trip onwards to Whistler, which took around an hour. Not part of the tour but we took the opportunity to go and jump in a helicopter and fly over the mountains, highly recommended. Whistler itself is a quaint little town, clearly aimed at winter sports but still very lively during the summer. We had a bite to eat and a walk around to see the Olympic rings and the Inukshuk. A nice way to spend the two or so hours we had. Back on the bus and 90 or so minutes later we were back in Vancouver. Our tour guide gave us relevant information throughout our journey and kept everything running smoothly, the bus was comfortable and the stop time at each place was appropriate. At around £115 each we got a good days sightseeing.
Left at 0830 and returned at 1930. It’s an 11 hour trip minimum. Bring water and wear hiking apparel. A fun day!
The trip was awesome with expert and knowledgeable commentary from the guide. Scenery was absolutely spectacular!
We're glad to hear you enjoyed the great scenery during your Whistler trip. Thank you for your review!
The tour has only three participants But the guide is very kind and friendly and provided interesting information
You were lucky enough to have an almost private tour! Thank you for your review!
The information for this tour was misleading. Instead of the indicated itinerary as it was stated on your site and with the purchased ticket, the stop was stated as 2 hours in Whistler. It actually turned out it was 4 hours at Whistler. Way too long in my opinion. Instead of my expected 6-7 hours it ended up being 10 hours. Big difference from planning purposes like making dinner reservations. Please make this more clear on your site.
We hope you enjoyed your trip to Whistler Village. Thank you for your feedback, we will take it into consideration to keep improving our tours.
