Super nice and experienced guide who shared a lot of interesting information about bears and the surrounding area. We were lucky and saw two black bears. Great tour!
Very good tour. Great explanations by the guide. We experienced a complete bear family up close.
What an amazing experience. We were so lucky to see a bear eating berries right next to the road. Our guide Hayden was fantastic and we really enjoyed our time with him. It was a real treat and proper bucket list stuff.
Great trip to see the bears with Gemma. Very knowledgeable and great at bear spotting.
We had an absolutely wonderful time on this trip. Gemma our tour guide was fantastic and picked us up from our hotel and took us to view the bears. With her help we manage to spot four bears including a mum and two baby bears. Would recommend it was incredible to see bears in their natural habitat.
This is an ok tour and seeing bears is not guaranteed. By looking at previous reviews I had an impression that we would go someplace where bears can bee seen more or less clearly roaming in the wild. In reality you are going 10-20 min away from Whistler and driving up and down the road till you maybe see a bear or two eating berries in the bushes. Taking a good photo was a challenge since bears are on the move and frequently obscured by grass or shrubs. The tour vehicle is comfortable as long as you are sitting in the front or middle seat. If you are crammed all the way in the back the experience will be a lot less enjoyable. Half way through the tour we switched seats with the family who was sitting in the back so they can see bears too. I'd still give it 4 stars because our guide Angus was knowledgeable and we learned a lot of interesting facts about black bears and their daily life.
Awful , no bears, we paid 1400 CAN for 7 people just to be inside a Land Rover. Don’t go and loose you money
This tour is NOT worth the money — trust me. We were JAMMED into the very back of a crowded, hot Land Rover for 2.5 hours, basically driving around in circles. The windows in the back were drity, so seeing anything from the back was already difficult, let alone getting photos. Our guide, Rob, repeatedly parked in positions where he and his main passenger had an excellent view, while the two of us jammed right in the back (with no windows to put down) were left staring at trees and blocked sightlines. He even mentioned at one point that he “always forgets about the people in the back.” Well… we definitely felt it. The other five passengers were able to roll windows down and take photos and actually see the bears and cubs, while we were stuck at the back trying to see through whatever gap we could find. For the amount of money this tour costs, that is simply not good enough. If you’re paying a premium to see wildlife, you expect to actually be given a fair opportunity to SEE the wildlife — not spend 2.5 hours sweating in the back of a vehicle while everyone else gets the experience.
There is no guarantee that you will see bears but our driver/guide was amazing shout out to Aldo Professional Clean Land Rover The scenery is awesome We were driving looking looking our driver never gave up and at the last minute and we saw a momma bear and her cubs
Very good, qualified guidance with a personally open guide.
