Whale and Dolphin Watching Tour at Terceira Island

ocean too rough. very painful. 5 out of 11 people on trip were puking.....operator wouldn't go back even tho 10 of us wanted to go back....one young girl finally acquiesced.....so then all 11 wanted to go back......bad call by operator of boat...was painful to a lot of people, he thought it was fine .....maybe too young and stupid.......and 2 passengers were young kids puking.... this was supposed to be to view dolphins and whales, not this kids personal roller coaster with no regard for anyone else....I am healthy with no back problems, but may have back problems now 2 days later....

We had an amazing experience. Our party consisted of two people in their sixties, a five year old and two people in their forties. At times the boat ride was scary for the five year old, but she eventually enjoyed the bumps on the water. On our 3 hour trip we saw common dolphins and Sperm Whales. The company has two marine biologists accompany the boat ride. They offered a wealth of information. The atmosphere on the boat was warm and friendly. The biologist that moved around the boat made sure to talk to everyone and checked in to make sure everyone was comfortable and not nauseous. He also spoke in 3 different languages: Portuguese, Spanish and English. The cost was very affordable. We plan to do a different tour later this week.

There are better options. We didn’t generally like the treatment or explanations received (rather the absence of explanations). Another company made the same excursion at the same time as us on another boat, but they seemed much more prepared and they did anticipate the movements of whales and dolphins to see them closer, while our boat stayed far away and hardly explained anything. The only reason we chose to book with them was because they offered the Service also at 11:30, but two days earlier we were advised that it would only be possible at 8:30. After arriving at 8:20 at the agreed place we did not like the treatment received.

A great and memorable experience! Guides (one of them Francis) made the most of the time to find and watch 2 different species of whales.

Excellent trip -money back if nothing spotted but we saw whales and dolphins -the ride out into the Atlantic is also fun . As a bonus also spotted a turtle swimming out at sea

Fantastic tour. The spotter Diogo (there from the top of Monte Brasil) is the skipper João (in the zodiac) managed to put us in the precise locations that allowed us to observe 4 different species Always respectful of the environment Mood, the approaches were always cautious and safe for both the animals and the crew. Biologist Joana’s explanations and advice were clear, accurate and super exciting. We were able to feel the emotion in his voice every time there was an observation. The Tour began with several sightings of squalots. Then we set off looking for the dolphins. Suddenly, we were surrounded by three species of dolphins. Thank you Diogo, João and Joana, for this unforgettable adventure. Thanks to the Adventure Peaks. It was simply memorable. I recommend 100%

One of the best experiences, we had the opportunity to see dolphins 3 times, very friendly staff and worried about everyone's well-being

I really liked this tour, the skipers were very attentive and tried to give us as much information as possible.
