Itinerary
We’ll stop in front of the Cathedral of Saint Vincent de Paul — one of the last reminders of the French colonial era in downtown Tunis. With its mix of Moorish and Romanesque styles, this impressive church stands out in a mostly Muslim city. I’ll share with you its fascinating history, the symbolism behind its design, and how it fits into the story of modern Tunis.
We’ll pass by the vibrant Marché Central — the main market of Tunis and a true feast for the senses. You’ll see colorful displays of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, spices, and flowers, all in a lively atmosphere full of local energy. I’ll tell you how this market has been at the heart of daily life in Tunis for over a century, and we’ll talk about what Tunisians typically shop for, eat, and cook. It’s a great place to feel the real rhythm of the city.
As we enter the Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we’ll step into a world full of history, culture, and everyday life. We’ll wander through its narrow streets and explore traditional markets (souks), where artisans still craft perfumes, leather, and jewelry. Along the way, we’ll admire beautiful mosques, historic madrasas (Islamic schools), and hidden shrines that tell stories of the city's spiritual and architectural heritage. To soak it all in, we’ll take a relaxing break at a charming local café — the perfect moment to rest, chat, and enjoy the atmosphere just like the locals do.
We’ll end our journey at Kasbah Square, one of the most symbolic and historic places in Tunis. Surrounded by government buildings and historic architecture, this square has witnessed key moments in Tunisia’s modern history, especially during the revolution. I’ll share the stories behind the monuments here and the powerful role this space has played in shaping the country’s future. It’s the perfect place to reflect on the past and present of Tunis before we say goodbye.

Beautiful experience. A great way to visit Tunis. Highly recommended
Loved this tour! Wassim was super helpful before we even got there and answered all my questions fast. He really knew his stuff and took us to places we’d never have found ourselves. Plus we got to try Tunisian sweets with proper Tunisian tea, which was a nice surprise. Would 100% recommend.
I had an excellent time and I really enjoyed this visit. The guide is very knowledgeable, knows the history perfectly, and provides many interesting details. He is very organized, attentive, polite, and professional. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!
Superb day. Very professional, friendly, patient guide. I recommend it.
The visit to the Medina of Tunis and its surroundings was very interesting. I had already visited it once with another guide and yet again I learned new things.
Omar is passionate about the history of Tunisia. We appreciated that he adapted his route because of the high heat. We had a good time. Thanks for this visit!
Interesting to see old cafes inside the Medina, you don't see mosques, and you tour the Souk very well
Moisés is a very nice guide, he showed us places in the Medina that you would not reach if it were not for him, we missed a bit of history of the city, but it was a very pleasant visit.
Excellent guide and route. We stop almost everywhere and we are told the crackling anecdotes of Tunis and its Medina. Thank you very much!!
A tour rich in history and anecdotes. Moez knew how to adapt and get teenagers interested in the history of the medina despite a heat wave. A great encounter and a top-notch tour.
