Cinzia was an excellent guide, information and food stops were really good. Only two of us so turned out as a private tour.
Hello, we are very pleased to read that you enjoyed our food and wine tour in Naples and that you appreciated the whole atmosphere. Hope to see you soon in other tours. Francesca and the Walking Palates' Team
Cinzia was a fantastic guide. She made the experience great. Oh yes, and the food was excellent too!
Had such a good time with Antonio! We did one in Florence as well and I love the authenticity of the cuisine and the history accompanied with the meal. So awesome!
The whole tour has been cancelled without explanation! Now we have to see if we can get our money back on our credit card. No alternative offered. It was quite a pricey tour and then such a Service.
We're extremely sorry for your experience, we apologize for any inconvenience, and we'd like to offer our perspective. The cancellation happened a few days before the tour was scheduled. We've offered alternative dates that unfortunately did not match with your schedule. We've explained, over phone and by email, the reasons of the cancellation, that was not due to our will but to strikes and protests going on in Naples, that also meant that we were not certain if some of the restaurants where we always go would have been open or not. Of course, a full refund was provided within the best timing after the cancellation. If you happen to be in Italy again, please contact us in private, it will be our pleasure to have you as a guest on one of our food tours, in any of the ten cities were we operate. We whish you all the best, Ilaria and The Walking Palates' Team
Historical History of Naples with the food. The best were the rice balls and pasta with mussels. Also the store with the cheese and salami was a good choice. A start time of 4PM for the evening tour would be better so as not to arrive at the pastry shop at closing. A stop at a good Naples pizzeria for a slice would be a good addition. Our tour guide was very good . Was not impressed with the fried pasta.
Hey, Louis. We appreciate your review. It will help us to design the best food tours in Naples. Thank you! Hope to see you soon! Yasmin and the WalkingPalates team
We booked this, a little more expensive tour since it received such nice reviews and seemed to be a smaller group and more lavish food and above all drinks! We're so happy - it was just the two of us who showed up and of course it contributed to the experience of having our own guide, but regardless, sure Grazia had done a good job. Knowledgeable, sympathetic and responsive to our wishes, she showed and told us about Naples' historic center, which we probably had not managed to appreciate on our own - cramped and worn, but with the help of the guide we still saw the charming in the neighborhoods. She also gave us an insight into Naples today and how the population We made six stops, five for food and one for just drinks and two of the stops were at "real" restaurants with a glass of wine with the food. So exclude the cost of a lavish and very, very good lunch in the price of the tour... So happy that we got away, one of the absolute highlights of the trip!!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the tour!!
This is definitely a must do in Naples. Our guide, Domenico, was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the Historic District. The wine, street food, restaurant, and sidewalk dining was great and gave us a good overview of the historic district. I loved the grilled octopus and I would not have tried that on my own. Domenico was attentive to our group and noticed towards the end of the tour that we needed a taxi for the grandmoms. He called us a taxi and helped me give our address to the taxi driver. Thanks Domenico for a great food tour and for taking care of us!
Before taking this tour, I thought Naples was only known for its pizza. This tour opened my eyes with the variety of Neapolitan cuisine! Our food ambassador/guide, Nicola, was a local of Naples and was very knowledgeable about his hometown. Our group had many different dietary restrictions (myself included) and he was extremely patient and accommodating to each and everyone! I felt taken care of and really enjoyed this tour. It was more than JUST a food tour- it was also a walk through Naples' historical center which was super neat! I wouldn't have been able to find my way through those streets on my own. We went to at least 6 different stops with food and wine selections at each place. Some street food and some restaurants, it was a well-rounded tour with delicious food. We kept thinking we were at the last spot (from the amount of food!) but we kept learning we had stops after! You definitely get what you pay for. If you're a foodie or just want a nice walking tour around Naples- stopping in local spots that you may not be able to find on your own, I highly recommend Walking Palates! I'd love to take their other tours that they offer throughout Italy!
