This is the best wine tour in Christchurch/Canterbury. You will visit some of the best wineries in North Canterbury on the all-inclusive Waipara Wine Experience wine tour with Giles Tours. This tour includes tutored tastings at 3 boutique wineries and a delicious winery platter lunch. Departing Christchurch at 10.30am, you’ll taste a quality selection of wines in the up-and-coming Waipara wine region, including stops at Pegasus Bay, Torlesse Winery and Terrace Edge/Georges Road wineries. Learn from your knowledgeable guide about Waipara’s unique micro-climate as you taste a range of world class red and white wines. This is a shared tour but we only need a minimum of 2 people to run the tour with a maximum of 6 per tour. For private tours or a personal guided tour visit the operators website.

Truly a boutique winery run by wine-maker owner Kirk Bray and his wife Alison. Together they produce some of the most stunning wines in the area in a winery with some of the best views anywhere.

We will pick you up from any central Christchurch Hotel or accommodation - instructions on how to arrange this will be on your ticket. There is a small additional fee for pick ups at the port of Lyttelton.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful but we were pretty disappointed with 2 of the 3 wineries. The lunch although fine was also a little underwhelming.

We had a lovely day with Paul touring around the Waipara wine area. From pick up to drop off, Paul was informative and knowledgeable. The wineries were all different and lunch was delicious! Thank you Paul for a great experience!

Very rude bus driver was late getting there told to be back 45 min after concert but didn't leave for for 3 hours after concert were sitting on bus for 2 hour a no toilet was out of order asked if we come got use toilet and was told if we weren't back he would leave let two 17 year old go to toilet then drove of without them till peaple on bus told him to pull over and another bus pick them up and dropped them of don't no what kind of peaple they have working for them but not usually like this need to have a word with there staff this should not happen especially leaving kids on a country road in pinch black full of buses

We are Giles Tours in Christchurch, New Zealand, and we do not operate concert transport, we don't even have a bus! We do small group wine tours to North Canterbury, New Zealand. TripAdvisor has been notified so this can be corrected.
I booked this for my mum and her partner for my mums 65th birthday. They came back so happy and told me they had the best experience! The tour guide was lovely and they highly recommend this tour! My mum even got some cake, so sweet!

What a fantastic experience with Giles on this tour. What he doesn't know about wines probably isn't worth knowing! We visited some fantastic wineries, and it was great seeing the vines just about to be harvested. Giles' was brilliant in adding so much to the information being shared from the winery staff. The wines were brilliant, and a lovely platter lunch was included. What a fantastic day, comfortable, interesting, delicious and well-hosted by Giles.
We had the fortune to be blessed with Giles. Giles has extensive knowledge of wine & the region & truly cared about his guests.
