You'll be welcomed for a tasting at their cozy cellar door, where the friendly staff share stories of the vineyard's history and wine production. Torlesse Wines is a standout destination combining award-winning wines, delicious cuisine, and picturesque vineyard views. Finally found a wine tour that doesn't feel pretentious! Four different wineries, each one had their own vibe and amazing wines. The guide was actually fun to be around and didn't make us feel stupid for not knowing wine terminology. Valley views were gorgeous and the Pinot Noir was *chef's kiss*. What a great day! We loved visiting each of the wineries — every stop had something special to offer. The wines were beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere throughout the day was relaxed and enjoyable. A special mention to Pegasus Winery — the gardens there were absolutely stunning! This tour was everything I hoped for and more. Waipara Valley is absolutely stunning — rolling vineyards, crisp air, and sunshine made for a beautiful day. We visited four boutique wineries, each with its own charm. The tastings were generous, and the staff at each stop were super passionate and knowledgeable (and patient with all our questions!). The Pinot Noir and Riesling were standouts. Our guide, Sarah, was lovely — kept things relaxed but well-organized, and even threw in some local history during the drive. Definitely a must-do for wine lovers visiting the South Island!
