Vine Stories: Lavaux & Lutry wine walk

We had an awesome time in the Lavaux vineyard area. Marc was an excellent tour guide. He was very informative, friendly, & entertaining. We went to two vineyards, enjoyed some amazing wines & a delicious charcuterie board. In the future Viator should offer a lunch or dinner with wine pairing.

We had an exceptional wine tour experience and cannot recommend our guide, Marc, highly enough. From the very beginning, communication was seamless—clear instructions were provided on exactly which train to take, making the journey stress-free and easy to navigate. Marc’s knowledge was truly impressive. He shared deep insights into the region, the unique characteristics of the soil, and the nuances of Swiss wines, which made every tasting far more meaningful. It was clear in the way Marc spoke that he is passionate and highly experienced, and he conveyed information in a way that was both engaging and accessible- including visuals! The experience was also thoughtfully tailored to us. As vegans, we were especially appreciative of the care taken to adapt the meal to our needs without compromising on quality or enjoyment. The tour lasted nearly four hours, yet it flew by—we were so immersed that we genuinely wished we could have continued visiting more wineries, tasting more wines, and learning even more. Overall, this was a standout experience that we would highly recommend Marc and his tour to anyone looking to explore Swiss wine culture in depth.

WOW WOW WOW! Who knew Swiss wine was so good and Swiss vineyards were so spectacular!! Marc, our guide completely converted us to the Lavaux region, with an extremely knowledge stroll via spectacular vineyards, culminating an a musical cellar tour. We booked this as a family (3 generations) and found it suitable for all of us, with the terrain mostly flat, but with sweeping views of Lac Leman. We've booked wine tours all over Europe, from Champagne to Bordeaux and would hands down say this is the best we've ever done - fantastic wines and hospitality, interesting facts and completely unpretentious. A must book if you are visiting Switzerland.

The wine, food, and discussions were excellent. Great communicator and extremely knowledgeable about food, wine, and the Lavaux region specifically. Highly recommend.

Marc was amazing. There was a group celebrating a birthday that booked the same day as our tour. He moved them to a different day so that he could give attention to us. He is very knowledgeable about wine and made the tour fun and interesting! Highly recommend his tour!!

This was an absolutely brilliant experience led by a fun, knowledgeable and caring guide, Marc. The private vineyards we visited were welcoming, the wines wonderful and surprising and the views spectacular.

This wine tour with Marc was so wonderful. Lavaux is absolutely stunning. Marc made this experience so fun and educational. He has a fascinating background and is unofficially the Mayor of Lavaux. He challenged us and taught us a lot about Swiss wine. Thank you Marc - we loved the wine walk!

We had a fantastic time exploring the UNESCO heritage terraces of Lavaux with Marc. He is incredibly knowledgeable and brought the region to life with fantastic stories about how the terraces and Chasselas wine came about. We had two completely different winery stops he curated: one paired with a delicious local charcuterie board, and the second with incredible Swiss chocolates. It was the perfect way to experience the distinct personalities of the local wines. Marc walked us through each pour beautifully, helping us really appreciate the distinct personalities of each wine while keeping the vibe completely relaxed, fun, and engaging.
