You will meet your guide and start your day at the Tahoe Via booth at Palisades Tahoe: The Village, located in front of the Funitel building by the Rocker and 22 Bistro. Please arrive right at your scheduled time, you do not need to arrive early.
The Tahoe Via is a very unique experience, most comparable to rock climbing. The Via Ferrata routes help participants learn to navigate the rock face on the protected climbing route with permanent steel anchors and cables that keep them safely connected to the rock 100% of the time. All climbs will be led by Alpenglow Expeditions’ experienced team of AMGA-trained guides.

Best experience!
One of the best experiences, so much fun! Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable about local geography, as well as climbing. I am a hiker, but I’ve never been rock climbing, and we felt safe and secure the whole time, and the views were amazing! 10/10 experience, highly recommend!

Exceeded all expectations!
Our experience started with a warm welcome from Kate and Tristan and then we hopped in, "The Beast," and headed up to the trailhead. Our experience started with an intro to the Via Ferrata system and we spent the next hour climbing up the face of the mountain. It wasn't too challenging but got pretty hot by 9am so we were happy to have reserved the 8am block. The views were amazing and it was really awesome to have the opportunity to rock climb without the technical knowledge and gear. Tristan made the morning very fun and we felt save with him as our guide. 10-10 experience!

Beautiful, chill climbing exposure
The climb was great. Beautiful views, not difficult, and it was nice for getting peoples' hands on rocks as an intro to climbing, and an easy safe not scary way to get people in that situation.
One of our 6 did get nauseous from her fear of heights at one point, and had to turn back, and the guides were great in helping her out with that.
Otherwise, the guides and all the staff was great, too.

So much fun
So much fun with the guide Isaac. He did a great job making everyone feel comfortable and explaining the process. Even took photos for us on the places where it was hard to pull out my camera. Even got a nice beer after from a local brewery!

A Fun, Exciting Half Day Excursion
Mountain climbing at its safest but also fun and challenging. The course, from its holds and views and even monkey bridges were a blast, even if you're someone who is looking to get out of their comfort zone. Tim was a great guide — and basically a sherpa when it came to climbing the trail. Full recommend as a half day experience when visiting the Tahoe area.

4-hour Via Ferrata with Mike!!
Tahoe Via Ferrata with Alpenglow Expeditions was incredible! If you can have Mike as your guide, request him and ask him about his summit to Everest! The 4-hour via ferrata is the way to go. This hike up the mountain being hooked to cables is an awesome adventure trip. Sunny made everything easy to schedule and they take you up to the start on a beast of a terrain vehicle. You won’t regret doing this, and at Tahoe, you get incredible views! Thanks Mike and Alpenglow for a wonderful trip!!

Psyched I didn't skip it!
Highly recommend this experience! I am moderately fit, and slightly scared of heights, but it was amazing! Very safe, very thrilling, and you will feel really good when you complete it. Daryl was an amazing guide, he kept it safe and fun! If you're interested but apprehensive, do it! You won't regret it!

It was so much fun. Great tour guide, Amy Olson, loved to share her knowledge of the mountain and area. The views are amazing and the adventure level is great. So much fun to be on the face of the Palisades climbing. Great for a wide range of ages and experience
