It was a wonderful expierence. Big thanks to our guide Vinod. He explained in details hindu traditions and religion. We suggest everybody to take a morning boat to explore Ganga river and the beautiful sunrise.
Our guide Mr Vinod was wonderful - very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all our questions. We really enjoyed watching the morning ritual at Assi Ghat, the early morning boat tour, and getting up close to the 2 cremation sites. Also got to light candles in remembrance of loved ones and watch them float away in the river. Stopped for breakfast at a rooftop hotel restaurant and then had a fascinating walk back to Assi Ghat through the vibrant narrow streets of the old city. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the description of what is included in the tour (costs and itinerary) are not clear. This caused us confusion. For example, the itinerary (and title of tour) said we would also see Sarnath Buddhist monuments and ruins, but that is actually a separate tour and fee. It makes sense that it would be additional as this morning tour ended up being over 4 hours, but the description is misleading. Overall, very happy with tour but I do recommend updating the text to be more clear. Thanks!
Dear Ms. Danna, Thank you for your kind feedback. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed the tour and the service of our guide, Mr. Vinod. I will certainly convey your appreciation to him. I’m sorry for the confusion caused by the tour description. This tour provides guide services for about 3–4 hours, and guests can choose one of the popular experiences in Varanasi, such as: Morning Boat Tour with Old City Walk Sarnath Tour Evening Ganga Aarti Tour A Walking Tour I appreciate your suggestion and will review and update the description to make it clearer. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. Warm regards, Indrajeet Kumar Mobile / WhatsApp: +91 9415206372 🙏
We did a guided boat ride on the Ganga followed by a tour to Sarnath with Mr. Indrajeet. Very knowledgeable individual, we had a great time. Also, the vehicle was extremely comfortable. Highly recommend !
Indrajeet's family was so warm and friendly! I felt like one of the family with my trip. I strongly recommend a Homestay type of visit - such as mine. Why? You get a more in depth immersion into life in India and Varanasi. I also suggest doing some homework - like reading the Bhagavad Gita before you go so as to develop a background for understanding. You will definitely build your knowledge and appreciation for this amazing country. As a westerner, I needed time to reflect and rest too. My accommodations were perfect to take a rest or nap mid day. This allows for you to 'process' what you've seen and experienced. By avoiding the 'rush - rush' of a typical tour, this experience with this family really let me 'feel' India as much as see India. I really appreciated the flexibility of staying here with the ability to see things at my pace and to truly enjoy them. I used some of my 'off' time to walk through the village and see normal life there. Watch folks work their gardens, run an automatic loom machine or harvest fresh vegetables - a real treat for a traveler to slow down and appreciate the experience. I got lots of smiles and questions too from the folks there. Very interactive and personal.
Dear Mr. Will Olson, Thank you so much for your heartfelt review! I'm truly touched to hear that you felt like part of the family during your stay with us. Creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests is something we strive for, and I'm glad that you felt that warmth during your trip. Your recommendation of a Homestay experience is invaluable. Immersing oneself in the daily life of India and Varanasi offers a deeper understanding and appreciation of the culture and traditions. I'm glad you found the opportunity to do some homework beforehand, as it definitely enriches the experience. Taking time to reflect and rest is essential, especially when exploring a place as vibrant and bustling as Varanasi. I'm pleased to hear that our accommodations provided the perfect environment for you to relax and process your experiences. Flexibility is key when traveling, and I'm glad that staying with us allowed you to explore at your own pace and truly savor each moment. It's heartening to know that you enjoyed walking through the village and experiencing everyday life, connecting with the locals on a personal level. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your wonderful experience. If you ever find yourself back in Varanasi or in need of another immersive journey, please don't hesitate to reach out. Safe travels, and I hope to welcome you back someday!
