Itinerary
At an elevation of 1, 476 feet (450 meters) above sea level, La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos.
This 69 foot tower was built by Dr. Frank H. Wadsworth (former Forest Supervisor and Director of IITF) in the early 1960’s. Four types of the forest can be viewed from Yokahú Tower: Colorado (smooth to the south), Tabonuco (irregular surrounding with white-leaved Yagrumos), Palm (on the steep slopes) and Cloud Forest (on the ridges) are all visible along with the coastline and all the way to the Virgin Islands on a clear day (10 mile + view). The dense old forest of the Baño de Oro Research Natural Area in the upper Mameyes Valley to the east may also be viewed.
Embark on an unforgettable adventure at the Puente Roto, or "Broken Bridge," recreation site – a hidden gem nestled along the Rio Mameyes' recreation segment. Recognized by Congress as a Wild and Scenic River for its breathtaking natural beauty, this undiscovered haven promises an immersive experience in an undeveloped oasis. Features: Water Wonderland: Dive into the spacious water play area created by the river's width, offering the perfect setting for swimming, wading, and riverside picnics. ️ Location: Discover this pristine retreat at Road 988 km 2.7, where tranquility meets nature's splendor. Safety First: ⚠️ Weather Watch: Stay informed about changing weather conditions and potential flash floods to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit. Leave No Trace: Embrace environmental responsibility by packing out your trash, preserving the beauty of the river. Let's protect this natural haven together!
After the rainforest, we will board the bus again and head to the Luquillo Beach and Kiosks for two hours lunch break or playing in the sand, soaking in the sun's rays... Finally, we will end the day and drive guests back to their initial pick-up location.

Rafael was the absolute best tour guide you could ask for! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the island and the rain forest. He made the trip super fun and entertaining. We would most definitely do another tour with Rafael!
Most visit when traveling to Puerto Rico. I recommend a tour to help navigate the terrain. It can get very busy during peak season.
We had a great time on the rainforest tour. Angel, our guide, was fun and very knowledgeable. The tour was exactly as described. I would recommend it.
Enjoyed touring El Yunque and relaxing in the cool river water. The hike was short with beautiful scenery.
Rafael was a great guide. Picked up at local hotel. Drove us with commentary to observation tower and small waterfall. Then drove to Angelito Trail for a short hike (20 min or so), which isn’t too hard at all. I did it in Teva sport sandals. But would advise sneakers esp if it recently rained. Rafael provided some info about the rainforest. We then spent a little time dipping in the river (lots of rocks, so need to be careful! Esp with kids). Then hiked back to the van, and drove to Luquillo beach for lunch/souvenirs and beach time (chairs and umbrellas can be rented there). The tour was a great mix of activity (sightseeing, hike, swimming and relaxing). The info was informative. Was doable with kids too (there was a family with kids 3yr to 5yr old, the younger one got tired on the hike). I would recommend to other to do.
Our guide Rafael was the greatest. So knowledgeable and personable. The waterfall was spectacular and the river beautiful! We enjoyed the beach as well. Highly recommend this tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. A sunny day made it even better! Raphael was a wonderful tour guide…fun and informative! We especially enjoyed our nature walk to the river. The kiosks at Luquillo offered really good food and nice shops. Highly recommend this tour!
