Our tours are a great way to explore Zurich. Away from the crowds of tourists, you will be guided through the urban, trendy and interesting neighborhoods of this beautiful city. The Urban Bike Tour is an approximately 3 hour, relaxed bike tour through Zurich. You will be guided through the lively districts 1, 4 and 5 and will learn interesting aspects about the respective places and squares from our guides. It points to innovative and regional companies. Short stops explain the history and background information. The number of participants is limited to 10 people. Each tour is unique as the cityscape and group constellation including guide is rebuilt every day. The personal perspective of all participants is very important to Rayrider guides. Questions are welcome at any time. There is also plenty of room for stimulating conversation during our stops.
Langstrasse is one of the most interesting streets in Zurich. It is a diverse nightlife area and offers culinary delights with many restaurants, bars and clubs. Langstrasse connects the hip urban districts 4 and 5 and has a lot of culture to offer. Many people from all over the world are drawn to this place. A wide variety of people live together here and it can get loud and happy at the weekend.
The old barracks area is now a small oasis in the middle of the city and offers space for cozy hours. There is a restaurant and an open-air cafe. Various events and concerts take place in summer.
Helvetiaplatz in Stadtkreis 4 is one of the largest squares in Zurich. Weekly markets, concerts and other events take place here. The square also hosts many political events and is a popular starting and ending point for demonstrations. With a drink in the historic Cafe Bank or the Cafe Campo, you can watch the hustle and bustle on the square.
The Bluntschibrunnen is located directly on the lake promenade overlooking the Alps. Lake Zurich is particularly beautiful to look at here,
Beautiful view of the old town and the landmarks of the city of Zurich. On the bridge over the Limmat River you can enjoy a wonderful view of the historic part of the city. Postcards are made from this point.
The center of the old town with many historic buildings and small streets to linger and stroll.
The newest district right next to the main train station with many restaurants and shops.
The Josefswiese is one of the most beautiful parks in Zurich in district 5.
Frau Gerolds Garten is a hip, spacious and urban city garden with lots of greenery, connected to bars and shops made from old freight containers. On warm days you can linger here with a cold drink and good food. This is definitely a hotspot in Zurich. It can get really crowded here on the weekends. There are also concerts and other events from time to time. The surrounding area also has a lot of culture to offer with various music clubs, restaurants and a standing surfing wave. Yes, you heard me right! Urban Surf is the name of this location including bar and restaurant. Surfboards can be borrowed.
The old railway viaduct is a mixture of shopping street and cultural center. Many small shops from local brands as well as restaurants and a market hall. The disused train route now serves as a footpath and cycle path, which of course we don't want to miss.
The Lettenareal is "the" recreation zone in the city. Where trains used to run on railway tracks, all sorts of city dwellers now jog, skate, play or swim and enjoy the water and fresh air. The baths in the upper and lower Letten are meeting places for many people in Zurich. In summer it can sometimes be difficult to find a place on the meadow.
The Platzspitz Zurich is one of the oldest parks in the city right next to the State Museum behind the main train station. It is centrally located between the two rivers Limmat and Sihl. At the end there is an interesting but also tragic story from Zurich to hear.

Ray was a great guide. I had a lot of fun on this tour.
Ray gave us a wonderful tour of some hidden parts of Zürich. We really enjoyed his calm, relaxed pace while navigating us through the city traffic including trams. He didn’t get bogged down with his historical facts. Instead, he treated us like a group of old friends that were coming to visit Zürich for the first time. The best part was getting out of the city center and historical district to discover the areas of Zürich where people actually live. We have recommend this Tour for the cost the content and of course Ray, our guide and owner.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. I’m thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed exploring the local neighborhoods beyond the classic city center. It was an absolute pleasure guiding you through Zurich, and hearing that the tour felt like showing old friends around my hometown is the best compliment I could ask for. Thank you as well for your kind recommendation and for trusting Rayrider Bike Tours. Best regards, Ray | Rayrider Bike Tours Zurich
Excellent guide and ride around Zürich Many interesting facts learned and sites seen I would strongly recommend this bike tour for anyone curious to see the city in a real way!
Thank you so much for this great feedback. I’m thrilled you enjoyed the ride and our insights into the city. Showing Zurich "in a real way" and sharing those unique, local stories is exactly what we love to do. Best regards, Ray | Rayrider Bike Tours Zurich
We booked this tour with at least 3 months in advance. The day before, we received an email canceling our tour because according to the tour company, they did not get the “minimum” amount of people. However, on the website there is no number mentioned as a minimum. We were here visiting from the US and already had something planned for each day of our stay.l, therefore, we couldn’t’t just pick a different date. I find this very unprofessional. My husband and I have been in many tours, where it’s just us 2 and the guide. I don’t understand why the tour had to be cancelled. We were very disappointed.
We are very sorry that the cancellation caused you disappointment. As explained in our message and as stipulated in our Terms and Conditions, a tour may be canceled if the required minimum number of participants is not reached. To give you as much time as possible to adjust your plans, we proactively notified you in advance. To remain transparent and fair, we immediately processed a full refund after the cancellation and reached out to you to offer alternative dates as well as recommend an alternative bike tour so you can still enjoy Zurich. While we fully understand your frustration regarding the timing, we always strictly adhere to the platform’s guidelines. We would have loved to welcome you on the tour and wish you a wonderful rest of your stay in Switzerland. Best regards Ray | Rayrider Bike Tours

This was an AMAZING tour! Ray is so knowledgeable and prepared a great route! Before we started, he made sure everyone was comfortable with their bikes and even provided water. We learned so much about Zurich and enjoyed biking around to all of the historic and fun spots in the city. Ray also gave us fantastic food recommendations after the tour which were also highlights of our trip. This is definitely a great way to get to know the city!

We had a great tour with Ray, away from the Touri currents. The bikes are of a great quality and you feel very safe. We saw different sides of Zurich, which made you feel like an insider. Can only be recommended!

Ray was great very informative and caring about his tour group. Clearly one of the best ways to cover a lot of ground in a short time and see the highlights of the city.
"Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the highlights and felt well cared for. My goal is to show the best of Zurich in an efficient and fun way. Best regards, Ray | Rayrider Bike Tours Zürich
Really pleased to have booked Ray to show us around Zurich. The tour was fun, exploring lots of areas I 100% would not have gone to otherwise. The meeting point was really close to Zurich HB station, and obviously signposted. The bikes were clean, well maintained and easy to ride. The route was sedate and calm, lots of time to see and ask. The cost is very reasonable for what you get.
Dear scaredofplanes, thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s wonderful to hear you had an enjoyable time and appreciated the quality of the tour. Best regards, Team Rayrider Bike Tours Zurich
Our local guide Ray was very sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable! He made sure we were all comfortable and safe before and during our ride. The biking was leisurely, and yet we saw quite a bit.
Dear Cori, thank you for your wonderful review. We’re delighted you had a safe, comfortable ride and could enjoy the sights along the way. Best regards, Team Rayrider Bike Tours Zurich
