Transylvania: Dracula's Castle and Birthplace Tour
Description
Get closer to the Dracula legend by visiting Dracula's castle in Bran and Dracula's birthplace in Sighisoara to learn more about local history and traditions. During our 13 hour tour we visit Dracula's castle in Bran, we explore the medieval city of Sighisoara, including Dracula's birth house where we taste a shot of brandy, we discover the real story behind the Dracula myth and we enjoy the beautiful local countryside.

Itinerary
Drive across Transylvania towards Sighișoara. Here, admire the beautiful medieval townscape in Romania. Visit the clock tower, giving you an insight in the town's history with an impressive view of the citadel, the former defensive towers and walls of the town. Admire the birthplace of the Walachian leader Vlad Dracul, who would later become known as Count Dracula. Discover his house of birth, and sample a shot of Romanian schnapps.
Once we arrive in Bran, we visit the spectacular Dracula s Castle. Built on a high rock, overseeing a deep valley, 14th century castle is a big part of Draculas myth but it is also dedicated to the royal romanian family.

Stefan was such an amazing guide. His knowledge of his country's history is top notch. I would suggest to anyone that I know who is traveling in the area to do a tour with him if they have the opportunity!
A wonderful day spent visiting such beauty and history. A great opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Stefan was our guide for the day and he was great. Very informative and personable. We couldn’t have had a better guide. It is a long day, but somehow the time seemed to fly by. There are ample opportunities to use the restroom and get a drink. You may want to have small amt of RON, some places required small amt to use bathroom. Also, weather can be unpredictable, have a poncho, jacket or umbrella. Wear comfortable shoes. Enjoy the day in this beautiful country, ask questions and take pictures. My husband and I are so glad we spent the day with this group.

It was a wonderful tour with an amazing guide who basically talked to us for 14 hours. The towns were facinating and the castle was beautiful. Nice to get into a castle finally. The countryside was stunning. Well worth being tired at the end of the day.
