Pros: Appreciated the driver waiting a little bit longer at Pompeii for us to get done. Con’s: Driver’s appearance was unprofessional; used his vape pen in the vehicle once while we were in the car. Drove very impatiently and was stop & go. For nearly $700, it would have been nice to at least be offered a bottle of water and include the tours at no additional cost.
We appreciate the feedback on your experience. However, regarding the amount you paid for the service, there was total transparency in the cost, inclusions and exclusions. If the cost was not acceptable, you could have found an alternative. We were courteous enough to advise you about the advance purchase of Vesuvius tickets which isn’t common knowledge. The driver waited as your group was late coming out of Pompeii. There are more pro’s we think. Again, the description states all of the exclusions and costs.
Went on this trip during our honeymoon. Ended up stopping at a winery near Mt. Vesuvius instead of actually climbing the mountain as planned because we weren’t informed to buy tickets weeks in advance and they were sold out. If you plan on climbing Vesuvius be sure to get your ticket before booking this experience. Wine tasting was good, and Pompei ruin stop was also good. Our driver and guide did a great job giving us history.
