Mohammed was friendly and our experience met our expectations. He is very educated in the history of the Jews in Morocco. He made a stop at the Jewish cemetery where we were able to see our friend great grandfather's grave. One of best tours we have taken. Highly recommended
Mohamed was very knowledgeable, a great personality, and very understanding. He took us all over the city to the most important sights. We experienced the rich Jewish history of Morocco visiting synagogues and the Jewish cemetery. We highly recommend him.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He shared a lot of information in Moroccan jewish history which made the tour very interesting.
Our guide was fabulous and the tour was all that we wanted it to be. Our guide shared so much of the Jewish history of Tangier and Morocco which made the sites he took us to doubly interested. Definitely use this tour if you want to know more about Jewish Tangier Heritage
We were driven in a clean van. We visited all of the "highlights" of the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and guided us through the many alleys of the market. We would recommend this tour, with one caveat: There was limited exposure to "Jewish Tangiers." The synagogue was locked, and a tall wall surrounded the cemetery. The rest of the tour was excellent.
Dear Mark Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the highlights of Tangier and appreciated the clean transport, the in-depth market tour, and the insights from your guide. We truly value your note about the limited exposure to Jewish Tangier. You’re absolutely right—the synagogue and cemetery were unfortunately closed due to Shabbat, which is a time when many Jewish sites in Morocco are not accessible to the public. We always aim to be respectful of religious customs while still sharing the deep history and heritage of the Jewish community in Tangier. That said, we’d be more than happy to arrange a revisit during the week if you're ever back in the city, when these sites are open and fully accessible. Thank you again for your recommendation—it means a lot to us! Warm regards, The Tangier Private Tours Team
Viator kept us informed regarding where we would meet our guide and the arrangements worked perfectly. Our guide Abdul was extremely knowledgable about the Jewish history of Tangier and Morocco. We drove to see the main sites of interest and then had an amazing walking tour through the Kasbah including a visit to the beautiful synagogue. Abdul made sure we had an enjoyable day and we would highly recommend him and Viator to anyone visiting Tangier.
Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! We're delighted to hear that everything went smoothly from start to finish and that Viator’s coordination helped make the experience seamless for you. Abdul is truly passionate about sharing the rich Jewish history of Tangier and Morocco, and we're so glad you enjoyed both the driving tour and the walking exploration through the Kasbah. Visiting the synagogue is always a highlight for many guests, and it’s wonderful to hear it made a memorable impression on your day. Your recommendation means the world to us—and to Abdul personally. We hope to welcome you back to Tangier again someday for more unforgettable discoveries! Warm regards, The Tangier Private Tours Team
Ouadie took us on a great tour of Tangiers. We drove around the city including some spots with panoramic views of the Med and Atlantic. Saw some parks a residential homes as wells as the Kings Tamgier Palace. Then we went to the jewish Quarter and costed an operation synagogue. Afterwards in Medina we strolled and experience shopping as you might expect. We were taken to a very nice Morrrocsn restaurant for lunch.
We booked this private tour for 3 of us as we were in port for a day and wanted the full experience. Anas, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of our questions and knew the city quite well. We saw Cap Spartel, Caves of Hercules, Kasbah, Medina, Presidential Palace, Jewish cemetery and 3 synagogues. The history and information was incredibly interesting. Anas knows many locals and took us to coffee shops, got snacks and tastes of Morocco as we also had opportunity to shop along the way. Highly recommend this tour. Easy to book, responsive company and professional.
Hamid was awesome, he took great care of us. Never once did we feel unsafe. We saw so many amazing sites from the various neighborhoods, to palaces, to the beach riding a camel, to a great lunch, to so many shops, and Hamid was so great about giving us information about everything. Plus, he knows everyone! The people of Morocco were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this tour.
Our first time in Tangier and what a great tour we had with Rababe, our wonderful guide. She always made sure we were nearby and could hear her explanations of where we were. She gave us many options so we saw exactly what we wanted, plus more. Hassan our driver was very good also. The vehicle was very comfortable for the 6 of us, but the air conditioning wasn't quite cool enough. The open front windows made a huge difference with the breeze circulating well. Rababe took us to a local restaurant for lunch so we could taste Moroccan food. We'll worth it, delicious food. Would definitely recommend this tour and especially Rababe our guide. Thank you 😘
