Tokyo Private Day Tour by Car with English speaking Driver Guide

It was very difficult to explain what was our need to Viator representative.The driver was 25 min late and did want us to come to the parking lot with luggage instead of meeting us at the meeting point. He neither have our name on any information board, nor he had any logo of travel agency on him. He drove us around Tokyo with only minimal information about places we wanted to see. We paid extra 200$ for picking us up from Yokohama, not from Tokyo cruise port and dropping us off at Narita airport not Haneda. For tour , which was supposed to last 10 hours and took in fact 4.5 hours we paid 900 dollars! Yes, it was really „customized” tour.

This is a difficult review. The guide was extra in that the driver brought him along from a different company to communicate with us which he did well. The van was not appropriate for the 10 of us. It had a 3 ft crack on the driver side window, side curtains were torn, and most importantly no microphone to communicate with the group. The guide wore a mask and had to turn around and speak loudly for those in the back to hear him. In fairness he was great and took care of us at all times. I was also perplexed that he did not know the itinerary even though it was clearly communicated to us in the Viator app.

A great family friendly option to see all key Tokyo highlights in a day. Tour operator Vicky was knowledgeable, spoke good English and super friendly. Great tour and amazing service

This experience was more like we hired a “private driver” rather than a “private tour”. The driver (so called tour guide) was nice and polite and the car was clean too, but he had very little knowledge of the places we visited. So we mostly found him helpful in taking family pictures of us, instead of the guide explaining the tour sights. Basically, we had to use Chat GPT and Google to help explain what we were visiting. Anyway, it was an okay experience overall but would not recommend it unless this company improves their knowledge and communication skills.

This tour allowed you to see many sites so it was the best use of time. Driver and guide very accommodating and extremely polite.

Reliable and safe driver. But was more driver than driver leader - that's why only 4 out of 5 points. Otherwise, everything TOP!

When I booked this, I specifically asked if this was a guide not just a driver. I do not need to spend this amount of money when I could've just had Ubers drop me off at various locations at one point in time, he wasn't even responding to me and I was standing there waiting for over half an hour before he noticed that I was requesting for another pick up. This was a complete waste of money in my one day in Tokyo and I learned nothing at one point I just hired a local guy to explain some things to me after I was dumped at a random site.

HUGE disappointment and the feeling of being taken! The non-japanese ( another disappointment) driver had very little to say. The "guide" part BIG ZERO"! Hardly spoke, didn't know many things about the city, never pointed out anything interesting, didn't program the route according to closing hours of places - just drove. If we didn't ask there was silence which was 98% of the time. That's not what was promised on your web for the money we paid! We feel totally cheated, upset and actually should get a refund for such a useless trip! Would have been cheaper taking a "hop on bus" and learning more about Tokyo. Very poor experience! You should check whom you employ and what experience they have. This guy should stick to driving the trucks and not pretend to be a "professional guide" and insult clients' intelligence with such a passive behaviour just because we're tourists! I definitely won't recommend your company as it's not serious and offers mediocre service at unjustified prices!

We had a wonderful, full day, tour of Toyko with our driver Mr. Kamal. He did a fantastic job of telling us about the places we visited. He helped to make this a wonderful experience. From the Imperial Palace (home of the emperor), Toyko Tower (we rode to the 1500M platform ), Shibuya Crossing (busiest street crossing in Tokyo with over 10k persons crossing every hour), Meiji Jinju Buddhist Temple (there are Omikuji where one could shake a box and receive a number corresponding to a box with a Waka poem composed by Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken whose spirits are enshrined here), to Senso-ji Temple, (the oldest temple in Tokyo), Mr. Kamal helped to make amazing memories of our time in Toyko. We ended our day with a stunning photo of Toyko at night. This was a wonderful way to spend our day in Tokyo. Thank you, Mr. Kamal, for helping us learn more about Toyko.

Our driver Hasan came on time . He always had a smile on his. Face. He spoke Japanese, Hindi and English. He helped push my husband in the wheelchair. Thanks for sending a caring and sympathetic person. The traffic in Tokyo was terrible but he did not loose his patience. The weather was terrible, extremely hot but he still helped us with my husband in wheelchair.
