I’m extremely disappointed with my experience on what was supposed to be a *private JDM tour* in Japan. I booked this tour through Viator after carefully reviewing the listing, which very clearly stated it was a **private tour** — not a shared or group experience. I was looking forward to a one-on-one guided tour as described: being picked up in a specific JDM car, visiting a car meet, and returning to my hotel in a personalized experience. What I got was the complete opposite. From the moment I was picked up, things were off. The car was **not the one advertised** or discussed. I had even asked the driver in advance what car I’d be in, and the car that showed up was totally different — not even close to what was expected based on the listing. This alone was disappointing for a car-focused tour. But it got worse. I was placed into a **group tour**, sharing the ride and experience with multiple strangers — something I absolutely did *not* agree to or pay for. The itinerary that was promised was not followed. Instead of going straight to the car meet and back like the private tour listing stated, we ended up driving all around the city dropping off other guests at their hotels. This added unnecessary time and completely ruined what was supposed to be a direct and exclusive experience. When I raised my concerns with the driver, he seemed uninterested and dismissive, showing zero concern that I had been misled. He made no attempt to explain, apologize, or make things right. For the amount of money I paid — which was not cheap — this was unacceptable. The Viator policy clearly defines the difference between a private and group tour, and I booked *and paid for* a private one. This company **blatantly misrepresented their service**. It felt like a bait-and-switch — they sold me a luxury, exclusive experience and delivered something entirely different. What hurts the most is that I was genuinely excited about this tour. It was supposed to be a highlight of my first trip to Japan. I had heard amazing things about the JDM scene, and I chose this tour thinking I’d get something unique. Everyone else I met who booked through different companies had incredible experiences. I, on the other hand, felt scammed and ignored. Do **not** book with this company if you’re expecting professionalism, honesty, or anything close to a private tour. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want to have a real JDM experience in Japan

Mukarram was a great tour giude/ host. He was very knowledgeable of the area and had great forsight on how the night would take place. He was patience on letting myself and the the others have enough time to see all the cars that we wanted to see. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting Toky Japan on holiday/ vacation!

This is a review of the "Tokyo Private Daikoku JDM Car Culture Tour" we took in December 2024, operated by Kawaii Nippon Tours. The owner and tour guide is Mr. Mukkaram. If you’re reading this, you probably already know that Daikoku doesn’t have public transportation. I booked the tour a few months in advance. Through the About page on Kawaii Nippon Tours’ website, I found their phone number and contacted Mukkaram via WhatsApp to confirm the booking. After landing in Tokyo, I reached out again to arrange a hotel pickup. Mukkaram speaks perfect English and was very prompt in replying. He picked us up in a mini-van on time at our hotel and was incredibly sociable, sharing insights about Japan throughout the journey. His van was very clean. The tour itself was fantastic, and we’re so happy to have crossed it off our Japan to-do list! Mr Mukkaram also operates a few other routes via Kawaii Nippon Tours. If you have any particular itinerary he can also work it out with you.
Thankyou so much sir for your lovely comments. and i hope you will come again to Japan. and i will do tour with you again.
