Learn the rules and training methods of sumo in a luxurious seating area in Asakusa, watch a demonstration, and then try your hand at sumo. Enjoy an advanced class sumo show in a relaxed atmosphere. Asakusa Sumo Club Annex was established on February 20, 2025 as a high-class branch of the very popular Asakusa Sumo Club. All seats are sofas, and the restaurant offers food and beverages in an atmosphere reminiscent of a high-class Japanese ryotei restaurant. The meal will include an original Chanko(chicken hot pot) supervised by sumo wrestlers, and sukiyaki and tempura made with Japanese Wagyu beef. (*Economy Class: No tempura) (Vegetarian meals are also available.) The beverages will include all-you-can-drink Japanese whiskey, draft beer etc..., and soft drinks. (*Economy Class: The beverages will include 1 Drink including, NOT all-you-can-drink) At the Asakusa Sumo Club Annex, we will take you on a deep drive through history and how sumo has evolved throughout the millennia.

Action zone is a complete miss sell. Not what they advertise it is at all. Disappointment.
This was so much fun, go for the deluxe experience (better seats, food and free drinks) The event is so well staged, The Sumo guys know how to play their part and it is fascinating. One of the best things we did in Japan.

Took my wife and I here and what am experience! Not just watching a match, learning so much about sumo also. The food and drinks were top notch and the service was impeccable. They have had crowd inclusion from anyone who wanted to join. I'd go back, an absolutely fantastic establishment in Tokyo.

Super fun and entertaining! The sumo wrestlers were engaging, hilarious, and powerful. It was fun seeing them do battle, I mean demonstrate a match. The Geisha was a nice surprise for me and she was lovely. The MC really made the show and it was fun to bang on the table to show support. Food and drink were good.

Quite entertaining. And that’s the purpose of this, food was quite good. It’s not a real life sumo fight. It’s an entertaining fight and an example of sumo is all about.

You only get to see three actual matches. The majority of the time is spent on goofy antics, crowd involvement, and a lot of training demos. While the environment is fun, the actual experience of seeing sumo in person is pretty poor.
