A comprehensive look into the story of the Titanic from the shipyard she was built in til her discovery on the ocean floor - incredibly moving stories
Incredible experience, well worth a visit. Superbly put together.
Underwhelmed! Crowded and disappointed with whole experience. We visited the Titanic exhibition in London last December and it was exceptional. So we had high hopes for Belfast which were sadly not met.
Brilliant time. The exhibition was excellent. Very well produced with history of Belfast clearly set out. All of the constituent parts from the growing industries around Belfast such as the rope works and sirocco works were demonstrated. Then the journey through the building of Titanic, its launch and then its fateful maiden voyage were told in detail. A wonderful afternoon out. The prices in the galley and the shop were reasonable and affordable. Super centre. So glad we visited.
I would like to recall the horrible experience we had today at the Titanic experience in Belfast. The minute we entered the experience we could barely move. We were shocked at the amount of people that were in attendance. We realized very quickly that the situation was not going to improve, we felt like rats going through a maze. We could not read or see anything because of the amount of people. We got to a section where we entered a lift, once we exited an employee said something that we could not hear very well because of the amount people but what we did hear was that we had to stand there for at least 25 minutes ! At this stage we said that this was not acceptable, we asked an employee to show us the way out. We went down stairs and went to the customer service desk, I explained the situation and asked for a refund. The lady said, one minute and she went to get someone. A gentleman came and we explained the situation once again. He said that this was normal it is the hight of the summer season and a refund was not possible because I bought the tickets online! This explanation did not make any sense to us. He offered for us to come back later in the day which was not convenient as we are returning to Cork . He then offered for us to skip the 25 minute queue. We were not happy with this solution as it didn’t rectify the fact that there were too many people in the space. The truth of the matter is that too many people were given access at the same time. We even pointed out from a health and safety position we did not feel safe. He disagreed with us and said they were well within the numbers for health and safety. We got no refund and no understanding from the company at all. Avoid at all cost. There are a lot more enjoyable things to do in Belfast at no financial cost at all!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Titanic museum. It was interesting and so informative. I would recommend booking one of the early slots, as it does get very busy.
Best place to visit with family, nice view and best tour guides with good knowledge of the place. Good history learnt
Absolutely brilliant exhibition and very sensitively complied due to the 1,000s of lives lost. Will highly recommend. Thanks for a great day. Catherine
It was a poor experience entirely due to the overcrowding. Infrastructure and overall design is excellent. The interactive displays are great but we kept being pushed out of the way by large numbers of people from a cruise ship that had been ‘bussed in’ to the museum. A very poor experience overall.
There where far ti many people allowed in at one time .even though you had ti book time slots. Which ment you where unable to see alot of the exhibit or read the information. Very bad time management. And after paying for tickets you also have to pay for parking
