Meenakshee was one of the staff working on the rum tasting, included within the visit to the sugar factory, she was very helpful with the tasting. The museum is interesting and quite long if you were to read everything, but download the free audio tour and you can listen to it as you go around or after the visit

Devina was an excellent guide, we did the sugar cane cutting tour, which was half the price of the museum, came with a lot of information and a cool opportunity to cut and eat your own sugar cane!

A very well-organized museum with very interesting information. To be visited with the family to discover the history of Mauritius and that of its sugar industry. Surprising tastings of different sugars at the end of the visit and of different rums.

The tour lets us discover the history of sugar in Mauritius, but also reveals the history of Mauritius itself. The self-guided tour is very easy thanks to listening to the explanations via the app. The tasting at the end of the tour is a real gustatory discovery. Bravo for this incredible place.

A must-see visit to fully understand the history of Mauritius and the wonderful resource that sugarcane represents. This visit is at once fun, pleasant, and very informative: I recommend it! Special mention to Darshinee who helped us discover and taste different rums.
