The Grand Tour Of Sri Lanka

My first time to this island paradise and I am totally satisfied with this great tour. Loved Sigiriya and Pidurangala both easy climbs and both spectacular. All safari’s were successful seeing up close Leopard Elephants Blue Whales (yes several) and more. My solo guide and driver Udara is fantastic and great always on time, providing relevant commentary and taking great photos of us. My first time on a private tour and I will do these from now on if available. Larger groups mean getting sick. Highly Recommended.

We had a wonderful trip thanks to our guide and driver Sakun who guided us safely through the country. Nothing was too much to ask for him. At the end of the day we were given a good explanation of what was on the program the next day and what we needed for that. We saw the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka and there are many , we saw nature in many different ways, sometimes by Jeep in the Safari, sometimes from the water. The rafting activity was also a very nice experience. We also learned a lot about history and religion in Sri Lanka, where all religions respect each other and where everyone lives together in harmony. The temples with the beautiful statues of Buddha and the Buddhist religion was very fascinating and we also got a very good explanation from Sakun. We're going home with a bag full of great memories. Our trip to Ari Lanka was overall a great experience. The accommodations were all very pleasant and the food options were excellent. The tour itself was well planned out even though not all admission fees were included. We stayed for 12 days and took a round trip. The car rides were longer than expected, also there was no mentions of the driving distances before booking the tour. That was something that surprised us. Our guide, Nishantha Rathnayaka, was very kind and made us feel very safe and comfortable. He has an incredible knowledge about the history of the country and is always willing to share his insights. He was a very careful driver and took us wherever we wanted to go. We didn’t know that it would just be us two when we booked the tour as it was promoted as a group tour. It would’ve been nice to know beforehand that we would be traveling with the guide and no other visitors. We loved the atmosphere and the overall energy of the country and are very thankful to have experienced such a rich culture.

Outstanding tour. All the highlights of Sri Lanka in a relaxed comfortable trip. The hotels and meals were simply outstanding, probably the best food I've ever had on a tour. My guide Rohan was superb. Knowledgeable, fun to talk too, and super accommodating.

This was an excellent tour and great value for money. We stayed in some wonderful hotels; one with a tree house and others with spectacular views. All were well appointed and comfortable - a few with great swimming pools. We were taken to all the best tourist destinations and were very lucky to see many elephants in the wild, plus a leopard, crocodiles, dolphins and much other wild life. We also enjoyed the cultural destinations very much too. Our driver, Ravi, was first class negotiating some scary drives with skill. His care for our well being and safety was exemplary. We really appreciated his friendliness and helpfulness.

I’ve just returned from the most incredible family trip around Sri Lanka, organised by BH Lanka Tours and booked on Tour Radar. Sri Lanka itself is vibrant, colourful and full of character with delicious food, dramatic scenery and unforgettable wildlife. The variety packed into this itinerary was so varied - from ancient cities and sacred temples to lush hill country, wildlife safaris and beautiful beaches. This trip offered a great balance of culture, wildlife, scenery and relaxation and we’re so grateful to have seen so much of the country in just under two weeks. The nature was genuinely some of the best I’ve ever experienced on holiday. We saw elephants, leopards, crocodiles, storks, kingfishers, peacocks (I am now obsessed with peacocks!), and even black-faced monkeys swinging through the trees. The landscapes constantly changed which was so beautiful to see; covering misty tea plantations, dense rainforest, dramatic rock fortresses and golden coastline. It felt like several countries in one. A huge thank you to our guide, Hesh, who was absolutely fantastic throughout. He was kind, calm and incredibly accommodating - especially supporting my mum with her mobility needs. He always made sure we felt safe, gave helpful local tips and handled everything seamlessly. Having a guide who is both knowledgeable and genuinely warm makes all the difference on a multi-stop tour like this where you spend a lot of time together! The hotels were a wonderful mix - from jungle lodges with fireflies at night, to hilltop views in Kandy and beautiful beachfront properties on the south coast. We loved that each stop had its own personality and atmosphere. The cultural experiences were thoughtfully chosen, including the iconic Sigiriya Lion Rock, Polonnaruwa, the Temple of the Tooth, the scenic train to Ella, tea country, and of course the safaris in Minneriya and Yala (seeing a leopard was a true life highlight). It felt immersive but still comfortable. This was such a special trip for our family and one we will treasure forever. We’re so grateful to the team for organising such a fun, educational and memorable journey and we could not recommend this tour more!

A fabulous tour. Our first visit to Sri Lanka and it exceeded expectations.

Wow what an amazing experience! Everything from the food, the people, the accomodation, the experiences but most of all our guide, Sidath! Having Sidath there was a Godsend. Not only for his wealth of knowledge and expertise but because 20mins after landing, the ATM decided to freeze with my card held captive. Not only did Sidath liase with the bank and arrange collection of my card, (which was no easy feat with a weekend, public holiday and closing times of 3pm) but he also offered us some cash until we could get the card back! But we did and saw everything from elephants, to crazy traffic, tuk tuk rides, temples, Buddas, mountains, white water rafting and canyoning, tea plantation, boat rides, turtle hatchery, cricket grounds, historic sights, shops, beautiful hikes, trains, whales, dolphins, cheetahs and even had time to relax by the beaches or pools! Did we see everything that Sri Lanka has to offer, nope, but what we saw in our 12 days was perfect! Having everything arranged for us just made it so much more relaxing. The accomodation was brilliant, I was concerned with 3 people we would get cots or roll away beds but every hotel had a proper bed. The food in the hotels was spectacular and most days we didn’t even have lunch as we weren’t hungry. The best thing about having Sidath……he was great at taking photos! However the behind the scenes team at BH Lanka were superb as well. Always prompt and returning emails, adding or changing things was a breeze, thanks Hiruni for organising a great first trip to SriLanka!
