At The Dinner Detective, you’ll tackle a hilarious and challenging crime while you feast on a fantastic dinner. Just beware! The culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a Prime Suspect before you know it! Our engaging and unique murder mystery dinner theatre performances have been playing across the country since 2004. Our show is very different from traditional murder mystery dinner shows. We will hide non-costumed actors in the audience that are pretending to be part of the crowd. This results in a much more social and interactive evening than with other shows. Our shows are set during the present day and take place in real time. Over the course of the night, our costumed Detectives will uncover clues, interrogate audience members that may or may not be part of the show, and help everyone get closer to solving the mystery.

Detective dinner
It all depends on who you sit next to. A majority of the experience is to be able to listen to the actors and receive their clues. Unfortunately, we were sitting next to a couple that was celebrating their 18th anniversary, and they kept stating how they were drunk, and talking to other people at the table while the detectives were talking.

I figured it out…..THIS WAS AN ENTERTAINING INTERACTIVE EVENT!
Wonderful way to spend an evening! The staff, cast, location, FOOD everything was above par. The story line/plot was nicely done. The food was great, much better than most events such as this. We would definitely recommend this event to anyone looking for spending time with friends / family. We went for my sister’s birthday and she had an amazing time. Fun evening, but details missing.
Communication between customer and Viator was terrible. Upon arrival we learned there was a choice of entrees. We had no prior knowledge of this. The “murder” story was confusing. The guests at our table were unsure of what clues we were trying to solve, and we were not given enough time to explore the clues. In the end, it was a wild guess made by all in trying to solve the crime. The murderer was obvious, but the clues and script did not lead you to the murderer’s motive. It was still a fun evening, but I would not go again.

Great Fun at the Dinner Detective Show
This dinner detective show was great fun! We've done a few of these from this same company in a couple of different cities and we've always enjoyed ourselves. The cast is funny and there's a twist when it comes to trying to figure out "who dunnit". This event took place at a Marriott in Franklin, TN. The room was large enough to accommodate the large audience, but the food was just so-so. I didn't really expect much with banquet-style food. The show was our reason for being there and we truly enjoyed it.
