Amazing full day sea kayaking tour, my wife and I came as part of our honeymoon and although the winds were rough which made for an intense day of kayaking, we had a great time and the views of the peninsula and wildlife (fur seals and even a sea eagle) were completely worth it! Everyone who loves kayaking should do this tour if you're in Hobart
Great to hear you enjoyed a bit of bumpier day out there. It is spectacular!
Everything was well organised, weather was perfect, our guides were excellent and kind.
Great to hear! Thanks :)
Great week on Flinders. Stunning place. Perfect way to experience it. Amazing paddling and snorkelling. Incredible variety of birds and fish. Great people and food. Sorrowful visit to Wybalenna. Lest we forget. Our guides Kai and Luke were a pleasure to paddle with and made the most of the place and conditions – very knowledgeable, helpful, likeable guys. Have also paddled South West and Tas Pen with Roaring 40s. Great operation 👌
Thank you very much for your review. Flinders is a truely special place.
Great tour! Amazing guides. We will keep recommending people from Brisbane and France ;) thanks a lot for having us it was amazing !
Thank you for your ongoing support and for a great day out on the water! Tory
Mischa and Luke were excellent guides, they were welcoming and friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. The briefings delivered by Luke and Mischa were informative and clear, as were the instructions on the water. The wildlife - seals and albatross and view of the dolomite cliffs were stunning. Their local knowledge was appreciated. Lunch was tasty, hearty and very generous, enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere giving everyone an opportunity to engage in conversation. I would definitely consider booking another kayaking adventure with Roaring 40's under the leadership of Mischa and Luke.
Great to hear! We think Mischa and Luke are pretty incredible too! It would be great to get you back out on the water again in the future. Thank you for your review!
Brilliant experience! Luke and Misha were fantastic guides, the food was delicious and the whole thing was very professional! Would definitely recommend
Thank you so much for reviewing us and to hear you had an awesome day!
I've been involved in a lot of kayaking around the world and this is an absolute five-star experience! There's a lot to see. Seals in the sun are super cute. The guides luke and kaia (I hope they misspelled his name) were very friendly and took care of the safety of the team! Have the opportunity to hope to participate in their activities again.
Thank you! We think our guides and paddles are 5 Star too. It is fantastic to hear you enjoyed it so much.
Trip was rescheduled due to weather constraints, but quickly rebooked for the day after. Spectacular day!! We were geared up to be kept warm and dry the whole time. The guide was super enthusiastic, taught us all about the area and showed us through all the most impressive parts of the peninsula. He also went to great efforts to capture plenty of photos of us. You could really tell Roaring 40’s wanted us to have the best experience and walk away with great memories. The paddling itself was not too strenuous, but I was certainly sore the next day - an amazing adventure and would certainly go again!
Thank you! You have captured our intent well. We are so happy that you had such a great experience with us!
Brilliant day trip out of Fortescue Bay, excellently guided by Damo a enthusiastic and very knowledgeable guide. Good equipment and good food. My best sea kayaking trip and I've done many.
Love to hear that! Thank you!
disappointed. due to weather conditions we couldn't paddle the usual route. no high cliffs, no seals, no caves. we paddled in the bay and ended up cutting it short and instead of going to the highlights of the tour just crossed over to the other side of the bay. The weather is what it is, but I just feel like I didn't get what I paid for, which is a lot for a full day of kayaking - ~$200 USD per person.
Hey there, We are so sorry you didn't get the experience you were expecting. We appreciate your comment that the weather is what it is and sometimes that restricts the route due to safety for the group. Our guides take great care in making safety calls for the group and well as the office ensuring expectations pre trip are explained in more dynamic weather forecasts. We hope that you can join us again on another day in the future (when you are back in Tassie) and we can try to improve on that for you!
