Dhanywad ek ache tour ke liye! (Thank You for a good tour!) 1013611141 Dates : 29-May to 12-June For itinerary https://www.newmarketholidays.co.uk/destinations/asia/india/india-tigers-and-the-taj-mahal/ Party size : 9 passengers plus 1 x guide, 1 x driver & 1 x helper Coach: Air conditioned and comfortable Airlines: Virgin Atlantic & Indigo – Good airlines (Be aware that on Virgin Atlantic you have 23kg luggage allowance and on Indigo you have 20kg. Indigo will charge for extra kilograms, a total of £15 on each leg. You just need to be aware and can move some of the weight into your hand luggage. The biggest problem is that when your luggage is over weight you can’t use the automated baggage drop and have to queue!). India: Everything you’ve ever seen, heard or read and more! Didn’t disappoint! Hotels : All hotels of a high standard. Sheraton, New Delhi : very comfortable Trident Agra Hotel : very comfortable Ranthambhore Regency Hotel : think White Lotus 3 Shahpura House Hotel: boutique hotel Vanaashyra Hotel : individual chalets, very peaceful and relaxing, get woken up by peacocks knocking on your door Zuri White Sands Hotel : big 5 star hotel. On the first night the restaurant was very full and like bedlam, but quieter the rest of stay. There is a Sake restaurant worth trying. Food: At all hotels there were good selections of food, although some were curried there meat and non-meat selections, were also more western dishes and a good selection of salads, vegetables and fruit. Indeed one night I had just chicken & chips and another fish & chips. The curries I found to be milder than we would expect. At breakfast time there were egg stations that you could have an ommelete or egg to your requirement. No one on the trip had any stomach troubles. Insects: I was a little worried but during the time on the tour I had very little problem with insects! Wildlife: Tigers, sloth bears, crocodiles, mongooses, owls, turtles, ibises, kingfishers, camels, peacocks, deer, (……..cougars ..lol) Experiences: history, architect, science, engineering, scenery, Delhi Old City, Red Fort, Jama Masjid Mosque, Gandhi’s cremation site, rickshaw ride, Idia Gate, parliament building, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Chand Baori Step Well, wild life safari, naturalist talk, Amber Fort, Jeep Ride, carpet weaving demonstration, Jewelry making, camel cart ride, pottery demonstration. I needed a few days in Goa for a rest. Guide: Mavi, what a guide…..spectacular! Looked after everyone! He was a polymath, philosopher, guru……he could talk about any subject….wanted to make sure everyone got the most from the holiday and enjoyed themselves. Driver & Helper : Very safe and smooth, how he managed to get through the traffic in some of the cities is amazing. The helper was ready with a cool bottle of water multiple times throughout the day. Assisted with less mobile when required. What to expect : some early mornings, long travel, a full schedule, some walking but nothing to strenuous, fast pace. NewMarket Holidays : I was very impressed with NewMarket Holidays they have put together a wonderful tour and it have taken care to put together an achievable tour, with good hotels. You just wouldn’t be able to see so much on your own. Every representative from NewMarket that I met was very good. Paras at Delhi Airport, got me on the flight to Goa with no fuss. Highly recommend this tour and NewMarket Holidays, I’m now looking at which tour to go on next.

Our guide Zeeshan Baba took us round the Taj Mahal and the very impressive Agra fort. He was very good, explained the history, background and architecture well. He speaks good English and he is also very pleasant company. Finally, Baba was very good at taking photos of us and for us at both sites. We would not hesitate to recommend him.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour from Delhi to Agra to Jaipur. Everything was seamlessly organised and communicated to us in advance over WhatsApp. Our driver was so kind taking us from place to place and our guides were excellent ! Highly recommend this tour operator.
Thanks a lot for the kind words.
A memory that I took away from my visit was of a beautiful Indian lady of about 20 years of age. Whilst I was taking photographs of the Taj, she came up to me and asked that I take a photo of her. After showing her the photo, we spoke for some. She introduced me to her close and extended family. I lost count of the relations who I shook hands with. Though, I could not take up the invitation to join them for a meal at their home....in Gujarat State....even though they were strict vegetarians.
The tour was very well planned by Khan and his team did an excellent job driving us around in a private AC car. Every step of the tour was planned and communicated ahead of time so we knew what to expect. The driver picked us from the hotel and the guides showed us around explaining the history and important aspects of the different places of interest. The guides also kept our family enagaed with facts and quizzes along the way. We highly recommend this tour and are planning to be back with parents for the next trip!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for time to share the feedback.
